"Sit. DOWN." The man behind the desk yells.
Okay, why is he calling me in here now? I heard about the death of one of his workers but I didn't do it. I walk over to the chair and sot in front of the desk. My father clears his throat before speaking.
"Summer, your 18th birthday is a few days away but that doesn't mean your gonna get away this time. I am not happy about you killing off one of my workers. Especially since he was one of the important ones!" He sounds angry. Shit, I might not get out touble this time! And I didn't even do it!
"It wasn't me I swear! I'm innocent this time! I didn't kill one of your workers. It had to of been someone else! I don't slaughter someone like that." I try to explain. I avoid the people who work for him. They try telling me what to do. Ha! Jokes on them, they don't know what my job is or what these tattoos mean. Or how stubborn I can be.
"I don't care what your excuses are. Just admit it. The sooner you do, the better for you," He pauses before clenching his jaw. Does he finally realize it wasn't me? "Fine if you didn't do it then find out who did. Screw it! Just leave now." He scratches his short black hair and points to the door.
I stood up and tried to quickly leave the office but, with my luck, I ran into someone. I looked up getting ready to say a smart ass comment and meet bright green eyes attached to a blonde hair guy. Holy crap! He looks good and- Stop right there!
He's just another one of my dad's work buddies. Nothing more, nothing less. No matter how good looking he is.
But he does look good, especially with all those tattoos along his arms and who knows how far down they go-or where they go. I blink, bad Summer.
"I'm sorry, but is Alp-I mean Mr. Woods in there?" The boy asks trying to cover the mistake. I furrowed my brows and nodded. "Thanks, umm, what's your name?"
I give him a smirk. "Summer Woods and if you laugh at it I will make you pay." Everyone who isn't afarid of me or thinks I'm a sweet pushover always gets their asses kick. Trust me do NOT mess with a Striker.
The boy gives me a smirk "I'm not gonna laugh but I like it. My name is Tyler. What were you doing here? Wait! You said your name is Woods. You are his daughter?" His eyes widen and he bows.
I groan. They all bow! Why?! I'm not the special one so why does everyone bow? The "special one" if you are asking is Sophie, my younger sister who everyone loves. Trust me, everyone loves her.
"Stand up. You look like a dufous. And yeah I'm one of his children. Why? You jelous?" I said sarcastically.
Who says a girl can't flirt with a tall, tan, gorgeous looking guy like this? Okay, who says she can make him, her own little mistake?
"Nope!" Tyler gave me a grin. "My dad has the exact same job. But you're different." He eyed me suspiciously.
He can't know bout my job. Only Nate, Jack, and Dad know. And, to my extreme sadness, Nate is gone. I miss my brother so much. "Of course I'm different. I don't like being like others." I retort.
"SUMMER! LEAVE THE BOY ALONE. YOU'LL SEE HIM AGAIN SOON!" Dad yelled from his office
I cringe at his tone. Tyler laughs and pats me on the shoulder. I give him a look and he only smiles. I like him, he's cute and he isn't awkward around me like boys at school.
I run off and head to my room. I look around it and pull a backpack off the chair by the desk. I open my closet and grab my black leather jacket and go to the garage.
"Summer! Where are you going?" Mom asks, tieing up her brown hair into a clip.
"Umm I don't exactly know but..." I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket and I pull itnout to see a text from Jack. "Actually I'm going to the agency. Jack said he needed help so I'm gonna go help him out." I slide my jacket on.
"Okay hurry back soon. Your dad has another topic he wants to talk to you about." Mom lowers her voice. "I also heard there is gonna be cute guys coming. Family friends of ours."
I nod and grab my keys on the wall. I wave her bye and put my helmet on. I put the keys in my motorcycle and turn it on causing a frown from one of the guys to my right. I smile to myself and revv my bike causing him to frown even more. I take off and head to the agency.

"Did you actually forget about me?" A wavy haired boy asked after I parked my bike. His grey-blue eyes look at me.
"Who in their right mind would forget about you? Come on. Have more faith in your best friend." I said pulling my helmet off and flattening my platinum blonde hair down. Stupid hat hair.
"My wonderful father who forgot that I lived in the room next to him!" My best friend whines.
"Poor innocent Jack. I feel your pain. My dad thinks I killed one of his workers but to be honest he won't listen when I said that I haven't killed anyone in the past two months. An assassin record and I'm proud of it too. Too bad I have no competition now since you downgraded yourself." I joked, poking Jack in the ribs. He slaps my hand away.
"Oh quit it. I was never as good as you. But I do need your help. Company is coming and it's a job just like your father's. I need help making something to impress them or, should say, to show them to not mess with us but to make them quiver in their boots with fear." Jack says heading up the stairs to the mansion.
When I say mansion I mean like something rich people would call home and think of it as normal sized while average people would call it huge. But don't underestimate it. It is housing dozens of deadly assasins and spys whom I share a job with. The Strikers, who everyone knows because there are notorious assasins, who are under my watch also, watch over the agency.
In the basement is a lab for all the scientists to create new potions while the ballroom is for training.
I walk beside Jack and enter the mansion and head with him to the building room. That is where everyone makes the best inventions you can think of so other spies can't "get you". Complete bullshit if you ask me.
"I was thinking of something that can harness their powers or strengths." Jack explains, scratching his black hair.
"I can do all that already. Just put me in front of them. I'll scare them shitless and see how they feel." I say with a smile. I hold my hands out in front of me.
"No. They could use it to their advantage. I'm not gonna risk you getting hurt." Jack says firmly, pushing my hands down.
"You said just like Nate. I miss him so much." I say sadly, thinking of my brother. Even if he has been dead for two years now I still miss him. Who wouldn't miss their twin?
I hear a phone ring and pull out my phone to answer it, not looking at caller ID. "Hello?"
"Get your ass home now. I have something to tell you. If you run into Jack bring him along too, please. And this is an urgent thing I need to tell you. No messing around." Dad snaps.
"Okay I'm coming." I say then hang up. I look up to Jack and see that his face has disappointment on it. "I think I have something you can barrow."
Jack smiles and we head to my bike. I put my helmet on and Jack walks over to his pickup truck. I start my bike and leave the agency with Jack in tow.
When we get there we run to my dad's office, oblivious to the fact that Tyler is in the living room, and open the door to see he has five other men in there.
"You're gonna tell her now? Isn't it early or has something happened?" Jack asks, worried. He knows what is going on?
"Something happened." Dad says then looks to me. "I kept a secret from you. It's about your bloodline. You see, all of us in here share one thing in common. Something much more dangerous. We aren't your average human. And you aren't either." Dad begins to say.
