I jump back in shock when he shifts, knowing I will never get use to it. Jack lands as a huge gray wolf. I smile as he slowly jogs ahead of me, leading the way out, or so he thinks. I whistle and point to a secret entrance while climbing in. He follows behind me, somehow getting his giant wolf form into the small vent. I make my way to the kitchen before stepping out to hissing vampires glaring at me with fangs on full display. My heart speeds up and I know they can hear it from the evil smiles they give me, which drops when Jack climbs out from behind me.

"We've been caught." I say with a smirk.

"Wouldn't be the first and probably not the last." Jack says

I pull out the gun and aim it at the vampires, knowing this gun had the wooden bullets.

"Wooden bullets?" Jack asks.

I nod and the vampires come closer, not knowing my little secret.

"Don't hurt her!" I hear Daniel yell from behind me. I turn to see him looking very arrogant, his shoulder pulled back, nose in the air, and a vibe of 'I-am-better-than-you'.  I look at the others and see they are bowing.

"He's a damn prince." I say to Jack.

He nods. He knew but didn't tell me, figures. He probably didn't want me to worry or be nervous or something equally stupid, I mean seriously, I have the worst case of reactions to anything ever.

"Summer, just put the gun down, please." Daniel says, slowly walking up to me. "I don't want you to hurt anyone else."

How is he fully healed?  I mean vampires heal quickly I read that but a wooden shot to the shoulder would seriously hurt. I mean it made we go slower than normal and I'm kinda trained for these things.

"Nope!" I shake my head defiantly.

"Either your saying that because you're scared or you are an alpha." He says his eyes widening. "That makes so much sense now. You're an alpha. You can't be broken or taken down without a fight. DAMN! Why a damn alpha?!" He starts to yell at no one in particular.

"Well..  thats not my only options right?" I ask leaning back and forth on my feet.

"Or you're a really good assassin and know how to kill all of us." Daniel says, his eyes glazing over.

What is he gonna do? I'm scared and Tyler isn't here. Oh my god, where is he?! I have to stand strong. I don't need a man to protect me. I have to be strong. I am independent.

I lift my gun up, I never realized I lowered it, and aim it at the one who is leading all the vampires here, Daniel. He lifts his hands and sends his power at me. I lift my hand and deflect it. I quickly shoot my gun and it hits his arm when he moves to not get hit. I hear growling.

"Summer, please bring the fight outside." Alpha Dillon says.

I run around a shocked prince, knocking himnon the floor as I bolt into the forset where the friendly eyes are. I notice Alpha Dillon and stand next to him while Jack runs out of there and stands slightly behind me.

"Who's that?" Dillon asks

"That's my best friend Jack." I say looking at Jack

"Is he your beta?" Dillon says getting into a fighting stance

"I don't know where he is in pack standing." I don't know and I don't care. He's my best friend.

I look towards the door and see Daniel walk out. The wolves around me start to twitch and rustle with excitement and anticipation.  They are bristling for a good fight with the vampires, and I dont blame them. I see their hackles raise and their canines glisten in the moon light. I lift my gun and see the moonlight reflect off the silver barrel.
