I look up and I can feel the shock form on my face. "I thought they had enough of me but I was wrong." I don't wanna cry. I'll be labeled a chicken.

"Good thing I got kicked out of the house tonight." Jack says walking towards me. He grabs me in a hug i hug him back, trying to hold back my tears. "I won't let what happen to Nathan happen to you."

"I don't want to sound like an ass but what happened to Nathan and may I hold her?" Tyler asks.

I feel Jack nod and prys me from him and leads me to Tyler. Tyler wraps me in a hug and I hug him back. I feel a rumble in his chest. I start to cry and I hold him tighter. I feel Tyler hug me tighter and I  hear him whispering in my ear to try and calm me. He strokes my hair with his hand.

"I'm going to go show your dad this note, Summer. He might know what to do." Jack says. I nod and hear him walk away.

"I'm not going to call you a chicken. You know that right?" Tyler asks in my ear. He slughtly pulls me away  from him and wipes the tears off my face gently. Almost like he thinks I'm gonna disappear.

"How did you know what I was thinking?" I ask him telepathically. I don't trust my voice.

"Because as your mate I can read your thoughts and can message you just like this. It's to make sure my mate is safe. I think you are brave, not a chicken." Tyler says in my mind.

"What's it called?" I ask. If the wolves have some of my powers I need to know so I can learn more.

"Mate bond. It has three things to know if the mate is safe or in trouble. First, it the mental bond. We can talk to each other mentally no matter what." Tyler starts to say. I cut him off

"But Bruce talked to me mentally. Same with dad." I say

"Alphas and betas have it too. That's to help keep the pack in order." He says. I nod and he continues. "The second is the physical bond. No I don't mean anything inappropriate.  I mean as in the wolf requires the touch of his mate to keep him calm. The more touch the happier the wolf is."

"Like when you were hugging me and you purred?" I ask.

"I don't purr. It's a rumble." He says with offense. I give him a smile.

"It's a purr." I say. "And that's what I'm gonna call it."

"Whatever you wish princess." He says with a grin. "The third is the mark. As the male, I have to claim you to prove to everyone else that you are mine or other males might and try to claim you. And to do that I would bite you on the neck."

He leans in towards my neck and hovers his lips over it. I can feel his breath and it makes me shiver. I hear him chuckle. He kisses me on the neck softly, making my knees slightly weak.

"Right here. To make you mine. You would carry my scent to prove you are mine and I would carry yours to have you prove I am yours." He says then kisses my neck.

I let out a breath. I rest my hands on his chest. He pulls his head back up and I see his eyes are glowing bright green. I put one of my hands on his cheek. He closes his eyes and leans into my hand. He turns his head and kisses my hand. I giggle and I feel him pester kisses along my hand. I pull my hand away and he opens his eyes.

"How do you do that?" I ask

"Do what, sweetheart?" He asks

"Your eyes. They went brighter." I say.

"That's my wolf taking control. If I'm angry that happens or if someone challenges me. And with you around its to show he's content with you." He says taking my hands in his. He looks at my hands. "Your freezing."
