chapter 35

I turn to look and become instantly worried and pissed. I see Nathan holding Tyler down on the floor in a choke hold. Tyler seems to be trying to tell him to stop but Nate isn't listening. He is radiating pure fury.

"Jack!" I yell, running over to them. I feel Jack follow right behind me. I start to pull my brother off of my mate as Jack joins in and all three of us fall on our ass. Jack and I instantly turn toward Nathan and pin him to the floor. He struggles and gives a fair fight.

"No! Let me go!" He yells at me. He turns to Jack and spits in his face. "Let me go mutt!" Jack's face falls and he considers letting go.

Oh how I don't want to hurt him. "I'm sorry Nathan but if you are going to act up I have to do this."

His eyes widen and he immediately stops struggling. "Do what?"

"Will you behave? Or will I have to knock you out?" I ask calmly. Maybe he will take some of the emotion from me and use it.

"No! He deserves every ounce of it!" He spits out at Tyler.

I grab his face tightly in one of my hands while I sit on his arm. "Listen to me brother. I want you to get along with him. I want you to like him but from the looks of it you can't handle new people. Behave! I don't want you fighting with my boyfriend! We have work to do and if you mess it up I swear you will wish you really were dead."

He growls at me and Jack's head instantly snaps up to look at him. Now that pisses me off.

"One swift motion you're dead. Got that?" I ask with my teeth clenched.  He nods still growling. "Good. Now what the hell are you doing wrong? What has messed you up SO much that you are almost different? What happened to the loving brother I had? Or the caring one? Huh? He must have died when my brother did because I have no clue of who you fucking are." I spit out the last sentence at him.

I get up and walk towards a stunned Viktor. I know Nathan threw Jack off him and is running towards me. I turn and grab him by the shirt, flipping him over me to make him land on his back, knocking the wind out of him. He wasn't expecting me to fight back. I set a knee on his chest while I rest the other on the ground. I lean forward and grab his chin in my hands.

"Dumbass. Don't mess with me. I don't tolerate it. Stop acting like the dick version of yourself. I know the real you and this isn't it. I don't want to hurt you but I will if I have to." I say glaring at him.

"Oh really? Tell that to your boyfriend. You know the one who nearly rejected you because of your job." He says.

I lean my head down until it is next to his ear. "Big brother, I know this already. If he leaves me now it will be because of your dumb ass. I got him to accept me and even his tyrannic father. Don't tell me how he almost rejected me because I know that." I say in a warning tone.

To be honest though, I didn't know he was going to reject me. But you know what. I'll ask him later. Maybe at just the right time. Give him hell for it. Yeah sounds right.

Nathan freezes and I look back at him. I see he is staring above me. I turn my head and see Tyler there. He pulls me up and holds me against him.

"I wasn't going to do that you know." Tyler says to me.

Oh how I wish I could raise an eyebrow. I keep my face neutral and pull out of his grasp. Killing two birds with one stone. Or more like cripple two wolves with one girl.

"Let's go." I say in a monotone voice to Viktor.

He nods and gives me a small smile. I look at him with the 'i-know-and-I'll-fix-it-somehow.' He walks ahead and  I straighten up my jacket and fix my skirt then follow after him.
