My thoughts. He can get to them. I have to get out of here to breathe. This is too much to take in at once.
I jump up and run towards the door but the men get in front of the door quicker than me.
I have weapons on the desk! I slowly back away and feel the top of the desk on my thighs. I pull my hands up to the desk and grab the gun. I hear a growl and look over to see dad-wolf standing up and glaring at me. I, quickly, throw my backpack on and lift the gun.
"NO! SUMMER, DO NOT SHOOT!" Jack yells moving towards me slowly.
"Don't move. I don't want to hurt you." I whisper while looking at him with regret in my eyes. Jack stops and looks at me with pain.
"You will shoot, won't you?" He asks with pain in his voice. The pain in his voice hurts more than being stabbed.
I can't handle the pain so I nod, not trusting my voice. I aim the gun at the men while looking at Jack. "They won't let me leave. Tell them to let me leave."
"You heard the princess. Let her leave." Jack says to the men.
The men just laugh at him. He's my best friend. I look at the guys and pull the trigger. They stop laughing at look at the man that fell to the floor from a gunshot to the forehead. I move the gun to another one of them. He runs and his partner runs from the door giving me time to bolt for the door only to find out it's locked.
I feel the steps of a prowling wolf. I tense and turn with the gun so the barrel of the gun is between his eyes. The wolf backs away and I unlock the door. I stumble backwards from the door opening on its own and hit a hard wall. I turn around and see Tyler.
Nope, not a wall. A firm chest. Oh god, if his chest is like this then what does his- bad Summer!
"Where are you going, princess?" He asks until he sees the gun I'm holding.
"Somewhere." I say walking around him while keeping track on the wolves in the office.
One of them jumps at me and Tyler pulls me behind him in a protective manner. The wolf lands where I was standing and I aim the gun. Tyler grabs the gun and holds it put of my reach earning a glare.
"Be nice, princess. There are trying to explain things to you. For your own good." Tyler explains.
Ugh! People need to stop telling me what to do. I notice a huge black wolf. My eyes widen. I turn to run down the hall and feel and hear the paws following me as long as feet.
"SUMMER! Running won't solve this problem!" Jack yells.
Why isn't he catching me? He's just as fast as I am. And damn wolves are persistent. But why is Tyler talking to me like that? I only met him today. He isn't even a close friend or a family memeber so why does he care about my own sake?
They were talking about a mate earlier. Would that be him?
I run into the garage and pull the keys out of my pocket. I throw my helmet on and turn on my bike. I revv the bike and launch out of there with my tires squealing. Over the roar of my bike I hear a howl. That doesn't sound good. I'm so dead when I actually come back home. Dad's gonna kill me for killing one of them. Well at least I can say I did kill one of them.
°•°•
I'm fucking lost. How the fuck do I get lost in a town I know better than my powers? I stop my bike and pull my helmet off. Damn this sucks. Forest to the left, forest to the right and an endless road in front of me. Perfect place to get killed.
I sit leaning against a tree while holding my head in my hands. I can't believe it. How could dad keep a secret like that from me? He said I have a mate. I've read enough werewolf books to understand that part but there is no way anyone could deal with me.
