This doesn't have anything to do with the song. ALSO CONTAINS SOME STEVEPOP. You didn't ask for it but I gave it to you. also thanks for over 400 reads 😁♥️

I was genuinely confused. Did I like Johnny? And if I did, was it as a friend, or more?
"You alright there Dal?" Sodapop asked, dragging me back into reality.
"Huh?! Oh... uh yeah I'm fine," I said, but could feel myself blushing.
He cocked his eyebrow. "Dally, what's wrong?"
I bit my lip. "I- uh I'll tell you later. When the gang's not here ok?" I muttered quietly.
He nodded. "Alright."

I sighed, wishing Two-Bit would shut up already and go home. I tossed around thoughts about how to tell Sodapop I liked Johnny while waiting for Two-Bit to leave.
Sodapop stood up abruptly. "He Dal do you wanna go for a walk?"
I grinned. "Yeah sure let's go."

"So what's up?" He asked as soon as we were a few houses down and out of earshot.
"Swear you won't tell anybody?" I asked him, glaring in his direction.
He nodded. "Of course man."
"I really like Johnny... and I don't know if he likes me back..."
     He froze. "Y-you like Johnny?"
I bit my lip. "Uhh yeah?"
He nodded. "Oh ok. He- he likes you too..."
"W-What? Really!?" I asked, getting excited.
Soda nodded. "Mhm. He told me, but I wasn't supposed to tell you."
I grinned. "Yo thanks for listening to me man!"
I took off running for Johnny's house.
"You're welcome," I heard him yell strangledly behind me.

Sodapop's POV

Well shit. I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. I really thought Dally liked me.
I remember when Johnny told me about his crush on Dally. He was so innocent, pure, even, and I couldn't force myself to be mad at him, no matter how much I loved Dallas. However, when Dally said he had feelings for Johnny too, something inside me cracked.
I sat down in the grass and started sobbing, not caring who saw me. I stayed there for over an hour, not caring that the sun went down, and the rain started pouring. I just sat there and I cried.
Eventually Steve came to find me. "Hey man you alright?"
I shook my head, crying harder.
"Do you wanna talk to me about it?"
I sniffled, giggled hysterically, barely able to stop myself. "D-do you wanna listen?"

Dally's POV

I ran to the convenient store before stopping at Johnny's. I grabbed the largest boutique of roses they had there, throwing a twenty down on the register, and running back out.
I slid to a stop in front of Johnny's front door. "Johnny!" I yelled, too excited to knock on the door.
Eventually he opened the door. "Yea- oh uhh, hey Dal!" He blushed, waving at me a little.
I held out the roses, blushing too. "Here these- these are you. Ah uh, for you."
He giggled. "Aw Dally," he blushed darker. "Thanks!"
I licked my lips. "I uh I really like you Johnny..."
He engulfed me in a sudden hug. "I like you too!" He squealed.
I smiled down at him, then pressed my lips against his. He giggled, and drug me inside his house, not taking his lips off of mine.

Soda's POV

I sat on Steve's bed, crying my heart out to him. I told him everything, from my crushing on Dally, to him liking Johnny better.
"I r-really loved him," I sniffled, taking a shaky breath.
Steve wrapped his arms around me. "I'm so sorry Sodapop," he said.
I sniffled again, leaning into him. "You're such a great friend."
"We... we could be more than that if you- if you wanted too," Steve mumbled so quietly I could barely hear him.
     "What?!"
"Ah nothing sorry!" He said immediately.
"Wait are you being serious?" I questioned.
"I-it was just a suggestion Sodapop! It didn't - it didn't mean anything!"
I surprised both of us by grinning. "I think I might like that idea..."
He sighed in relief, then leaned down and kissed me on the nose.
I blushed, realizing I apparently had more feelings for Steve than I realized. Then I kissed him fully on the lips, and he slid his tongue in my mouth after a moment.
We parted, both gasping for air. I giggled. "I-I really like you Steve..."
"Well lucky for you, I like you too."
We smiled shyly at each other, before he swooped down, and kissed me again. Thankfully, my night ended in a peaceful bliss that I would have never known, if not for a silly little crush.
