Part twoooo. Also nothing to do with the song. Oops 😬

I ran to the DQ. Figures I would be ten minutes late. I just hope he didn't leave. I grabbed the pen from my pocket, scribbling on my wrist.
Running late. Be there soon. Promise.
You're fine. I ordered you a cheeseburger. Is that ok?
I smiled at how fast he wrote back. Of course cutie. I'm just a couple blocks away. See you soon.
     Yay :)
Finally, I slid to a stop in front of the DQ doors. Taking a deep breath and holding my head high, I walked inside.
It wasn't very crowded. No more than five people were there.
I'm here. Where are you?
     Back table
I looked up, and to my great astonishment, there sat Johnny. I couldn't stop the grin that spread over my face. He had no idea how long I had been crushing on him.
I sat down. "Hey, I'm Dallas Winston."
He snorted, causing me to giggle a little. "I-I'm Johnny Cade."
"Well, very nice to Mr. Cade. You don't know how long I've been waiting to meet you."
We both burst out laughing. "You're too much Dal," he snickered.
"Ah hush Johnny Cade. You know you love me."
He shrugged his shoulders. "You got me there."
We smiled shyly at each other, and the waitress came with our food. "You two enjoy," she said, grinning coyly at me.
I rolled my eyes, hard. "Yeah thanks," I said, grabbing Johnny's hand so she'd get the point.
She didn't. She just winked and walked away.
I looked at Johnny to see how he took that. To my surprise, he was grinning.
"Seriously kid? She was just hitting on your man!"
He bursted out laughing at this point, causing all the other customers to look at him. "S-Sorry," he snorted. "This is all just so surreal. Like I'm gonna wake up any minute. How do I know I'm not dreaming?" He asked.
     I smirked. "Really wanna know?"
He looked at me quizzical. "Uhh yeah? I think?"
I leaned over the table, pressing my lips to his. He squeaked, and I pulled back, stifling a laugh.
"You asked for it," I told him, looking him dead in the eye.
He smiled down at the table. "That was a good kiss..."
I booped him on the nose. "I don't think you understand how happy I am that you're my soulmate. Like I honestly don't know the words to express it, but this is the happiest I've felt in a long time," I told him earnest.
He squeezed my hand. "Aw Dal. I'm so happy too. I was always so scared to write you back... I've known, or at least thought, it was you for a long time..."
"Really?" I asked. "Why didn't you ever write back?"
     He bit his lip.
"I'm not mad or anything. Just curious," I explained quickly.
"I honestly don't know. But the fear I felt was horrible. Like... like you wouldn't like me..."
I smiled softly down at him. "I'll never not like you kid," I told him.
He giggled again. He was giggly today. "You're giggly today," I said to him, and he laughed again.
     "Sorry. I'm just- I don't know. Happy?"
"I'm happy too." I reached over and ruffled his hair. "Now eat before your food gets cold."
He nodded. "Oh, we've gotta tell the gang!"
I almost choked on my cheeseburger. "Hell yeah! But after we eat."

We had finished and paid, and we were now walking to the Curtis household. Johnny was looking at the ground, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt, or running his fingers through his hair.
"Are you ok?" I asked.
He nodded. "I-I'm just kinda nervous. I mean, not about this... but just telling them. Does that make sense?"
"Yes baby. And everything will be ok," I told him gently.
I wrapped my arm around his shoulders, and he leaned into my side as we walked. It had never occurred to me how short he was.
"God Johnny you're so freaking cute!" I exclaimed.
He blushed a deep red. "Shut up Dally," he joked.
"No."
"Yes."
We bickered playfully on until we reached the Curtis's.
"Ready?" I asked Johnny.
He bit his lip again, but shook his head yes.
I grabbed his hand, and rushed into the house. "I have an announcement!" I yelled, causing all five of our friends to snap their heads up at the same time. "Me and Johnny are soulmates!"
Everybody grinned. "Congrats guys!" Someone yelled, and we were surrounded in a group hug.
We all paused as the door opened again, and in walked Tim.
He took us all in. "Hope I ain't interruptin' something," he grunted.
"Actually we just found out Dally and Johnny are soulmates," Ponyboy snapped and both me and Johnny snapped our heads around to look at him.
Of course, the kid didn't know, but Tim was obsessed with me. Like before I found Johnny, he kept trying to get me alone to "talk" but I promptly denied. He wasn't happy, and now I could tell he was pissed.
Tim turned his glare from Ponyboy to Johnny, and he shrank into my side.
"Hmm..." was all Tim said. "Well, y'all have a good day now." He shot another piercing glare at Johnny, then walked out the door.
"What the hell was that?" Darry finally asked.
"Wellllll, he kinda sorta has an obsession with me. And it's nothing new, but that probably wasn't the way for him to figure out I found my soulmate..." I explained.
I looked down at Johnny; he had become quite pale. I hugged his tightly. "It'll be ok. I promise," I whispered in his ear.
