Alright this has got to be the weirdest thing I've wrote in a while. VERY sorry.

Dally and I sat at the beach, curled up by a driftwood fire. Greenish-blue flames danced in the darkness.
     "This is nice," I hummed.
He nodded in agreement. "Definitely, love."
"We should go swimming," I giggled, biting my lip.
"I don't know Johnny, we've both had a bit to drink..." he trailed off.
"Pleaseee?" I whispered, then kissed his jaw softly. "It'll be fun..."
He was giving in. "A-alright, but we can not go in deep, got it?"
I barely heard him. I was already running into the waves, diving under them.
"Johnny be careful!" I heard him yell, but I just giggled.
"Come out with me!" I yelled back.
"It's really rough Johnny, I think you need to get out! Hurricane Dorian is on it's way!"
"Haha nope!" I dove under another wave, taking my time to resurface.
"Johnny look out!" Dally screamed from the shore.
As soon as I came up, another wave hit me in the face plunging me back under; knocking the remaining breath from me.
I resurfaced gasping, just to go under again with a mouth full of seawater.
I struggled under the waves, no longer knowing which was was up. I hit the shell filled ground, feeling them scrape my body. Again, I resurfaced, coughing and gagging.
"Johnny!" Dallas sounded much further away, and I furiously blinked the water from my eyes.
"Dal-"
I went under yet again. I no longer had the strength to resurface. Water filled my lungs as I sank down; it felt like fire. Blackness ebbed at my vision, and then everything went black.

I woke up, finally catching my breath. Then I looked around. I was still under water, but I could breathe?
I looked down and screamed. Where my legs had been was now a tail, but my top half was still the same.
This isn't real. You're gonna wake up any second now... I told myself.
I started to swim upwards, resurfacing.
I looked around, and saw the beach from the night before about one hundred yards away from me. Then I saw Dally; he was jumping into the rough water.

Dally's POV

I couldn't find Johnny anywhere, and going in was my last chance. I pulled my shirt off and jumped in.
It was freezing, but I kept going. The waves were huge, and I struggled to stay up.
Before I knew it, I was caught in the undertow.  It drug me far out, and a wave broke right over me. I went under, and everything went black.
I woke up on the sandy ocean floor. "Johnny?" I asked incredulously.

Uuuuuuummmmmm... sorry?
