ALEXIA
"And that's where they assemble my loyal people, they were once my soldiers that lost their body parts. I don't wanna lose them so that's what we do." Glassman motions to another section that's responsible for assembling the cyborgs with their encrypted weapons.
"Uh... so what exactly am I supposed to be doing in here sir?" I ask glancing at every angle in this spacious underground laboratory.
He chuckles and look at me straight in the eyes, "You'll still be my secretary in the office, while you assist Maggie here, she'll be in charge while I'm away, So, you have to report here every morning, and then report to the office in the afternoon."
I was supposed ask where when he continues, "You know I'm not getting any younger, and I want that position so badly, so the old man's got to do what the old man's has to do."
If only Axelia's hearing this I'm sure we're both in the same page in the book humor and rage, these overweening people who already got the power are still craving for more. While there are poor people outside this dome wishing to be included in this place. People who's more deserving to live in a wealthy city than this greedy and filthy officials.
"Oh! I almost forgot let me introduce you to my very fine collection of my former inventors, follow me." I glance around eyeing Glassman's people in their lab gowns not bothering to look at us.
Wait... Did he just said his collection of former inventors? Are they keeping them here?!
He head west form where we stand, doing what he says. I follow him, walking towards a room with a metal door that open with a hatch, Glassman put his palm on the side of the door pressing down a cube block into the wall. The hatch turns with itself as it moves to the side revealing a keypad for pass code, Glassman then presses the keys 3094, because why not he's a stupid ass man who wants to use an easy pass code which is the current year, of course. But why is that he'd locked up his inventors in here?
And like he turns a bit smart he answers my question, "I know you're wondering why I am locking them up. Well I'm very sure you have heard about the famous Family of Treasons. They happen to serve the Kerrod for a long time, and we all know people with too much knowledge and confidence can get very dangerous, and unfortunately their loyalty for those Deceitful Kerrod leads them here."
Oh! you mean dangerous because they can take you all down with weapons you haven't encountered? Because they can outsmart you anytime without laying any plans for days. Because they can replace you anytime in your precious position as an official and Dangerous because they are much better than all of you.
That's why you ended our bloodline for the fear of them taking over this whole city. But tell you what those dangerous people you are talking about aren't as greedy and as heartless as all of you are. And news fucking flash they manage to leave someone to wash you all out even when they're gone. I'm also sure you have heard about the famous infamous line that 'Vengeance is sweeter when less expected.'
We step inside the dark room, the whole place was quiet and cold. There were no movements, I can't even hear any breathing that indicates life inside this room. When we are fully inside the sensors catch our presence, and the room automatically lights up. Turns out this is not a single room, this is a dungeon. There are four cells inside, two cells facing the other two. Both cells in the left are vacant. While on the other side, I see two figures separated in each cell.
"Ah yes the vacant cells." Glassman speaks up noticing the way I stare at the vacant ones. "That was Delia and Philip Clarkson's cell, that asshole Philip manage to escape my premises to save his little girl's life."
