ALEXIA
"Dindy careful!" I shout when she almost bumped herself on the wall.
She's able to stop on time, but then she loses her balance, and fall down, bumping her butt into the floor. Luckily she's wearing diapers, so she's not hurt. Standing up, she looks around the room giggling, to search for me. When she saw me standing near the bathroom door, Dindy grins and raise her hands forward to reach for me.
"I'm 'onna catch you Awex!!!" she say as she chases me down again around their room.
"Catch me if you caaaan!" I tease but she just laughs and run faster.
I climb up to the bed, and she also climbs on the opposite side. When she made it, she quickly run and reach for me but I'm fast enough to move away or oh well let's be honest. I did not notice that I was at the edge of the bed, so I fell on time before she catches me.
"Uh-oh" Dindy say looking down at me with her hands on her mouth, "You okay Awex?"
I laugh and pull her down with me, "Alex is hundred percent fine! But now Alex is turning into a tickle monster, And I'm going to tickle youuuu!"
Dindy laugh so hard and trashes on my arms as I tickle her down. She can't stop laughing every time I touch her small belly. When she turns red I immediately stop and hug her tight.
Dindy yawns while rubbing her eyes, it's cute when the tip of her nose turns red after she yawns. "Awex?"
"Hmm?"
"I'm sleepy." she say as she plays with my dirty blonde locks.
I nod and pick her up from the floor, "Then you should take your afternoon nap now." I say patting her head.
"I love you Awex!" Dindy say as she wraps her small arms around my neck. "I love you both!"
"Oh Dindy, I love you too." wrapping my arms softly around her small frame.
"But I love Axey most! Sorry Awex!" she giggles and removes herself from me while giving me a face before climbing back to bed with much effort.
"Well, we all have our taste of likes, and such, don't we?" Philip shows up on the door after hearing Dindy's speech. I give him a look, but he just smiled raising his hands on the air in defense, "I didn't told her that."
"At the age of four she's already having her favorites?" I raise a brow at him and shrug. "That's something to be taught." I joke.
"My conscience is all clear, I did not teach her that." Philip just chuckle and pick up Dindy's toy on the floor, then he walks around and place it inside the toy box, "At the age of four you and Axelia are already inseparable, isn't that a form of favoritism too?"
"Somehow, it is." I smile, "but you can't blame us, we are born to be inseparable."
"Well, if I were to speak honestly, you two work better together." he say with pure sincerity, "Both of you already helped a lot of people at the age of ten, and we thank you so much for that."
I just give him a tight smile, and then drop my gaze to the floor, "I'm really sorry Philip for doubting you, I know I should've ask you first before acting on my anger and be mad at you."
"It's alright Alexia, if I was on your shoe I would've done the same." he tucks Dindy in, fixing her blanket and continues, "I'll do everything I can to help. I don't want you to feel the way I feel when I failed in saving Delia's life back then."
"Momma?" Dindy asks in a sleepy voice, "Where's momma, Dad?"
Philip smiles at Dindy and say, "She'll be home soon love. Just wait." he noticed how my demeanor changes, but he just gave me an apologetic look.
That isn't my place anymore, but Philip needs to tell her the truth before it breaks the both of them. Soon Dindy will grow wise and smart, she'll find out her mother will never come back again.
"I love you daddy!"
"I, you too my little Delia."
Seeing the both of them like this breaks my heart. But I know Philip will make a way to let her know the truth without making her push him away. Dindy is a smart kid I'm sure she'll understand her father's reasons in hiding the truth from her. She's too young to deal with deaths I don't want her to have a wishful thinking of having a complete family like me and Axelia did.
"Just give me time." Philip mouted in mute.
I smile and nod at him as I went towards the door to exit the room. The moment we take down the officials, everyone in this house doesn't have to hide anymore. They don't have to pretend, to stay in one place, to live every day with fear of getting caught or killed. Soon, everything that's been taken away from us will be returned. Our revenge today will serve us justice tomorrow. I halt on my tracks when I heard a loud thud from the other side of the house.
"Nicoli you can't!" It was Leyla's voice echoing in the corridor. "It's dangerous."
"Mom let me go!" it's Nicoli's voice this time, and it sounds like someone is struggling.
So, I speed up to check what's happening. Nicoli is on his belly flat on the floor, while Leyla is at his back strangling him not to get up. Out of confusion I step out from the place I'm in and stand in front of them.
"What's the commotion all about?"
