AXELIA
When we reach the mansions driveway, Alex is still deep in her thoughts she didn't say anything after our short talk earlier. I get down the passenger's seat to access the gate. Opening the rusty mailbox, I grab the small black scanner inside it, without wasting more time I quickly scan my right eye. When the light turns green signifying that it recognize my identity, the old abandoned building in front of us is slowly replace by a beautiful multi-billion mansion, we both work hard for years.
The mansion is also inside a dome, like the whole city. It is just covered with those visual illusion glasses, the same one we have in the metropolis' skyscraper. We have to hide and disguise our home into an old creepy building, giving the patrols and the drones a false image in order to keep the people inside here safe. All the signals and the activities inside our dome is not connected to the city's. We manage to create our own small version of the metropolis. That's why the officials still aren't able to trace us, even if we're already face to face.
"Twins!" Leyla greets as she makes her way to us. "How did it go?"
"Uhh... Fine I guess." I glance back to Alex inside the car while parking it. "Well except for Alexia, I don't know what's wrong."
Doing the same action I did, she ask. "Did you ask her?"
"No. If Alex feel something wrong she'll tell me right away," I sigh, "but, right now I think it's something serious."
Leyla hugs me immediately feeling my mood, "Awe... She'll come around you'll see."
I just nod and how hug her back. When I Alexia was out of the car, I slowly move away from the hug and give Leyla a tight smile. She just smile at me sweetly, gesturing her palm to Alex direction telling me to follow her. Do as I'm told, I quickly run to her side, putting my hand lightly on her shoulder.
She look at me for a while then say, "Call Philip, Leyla and Edmund."
"What for?" I tilted my head to the side looking at her.
She just sigh and states, "Just do it Axe, I'll be waiting on the study."
"Okay." Holding up my doubts, I take my hand from her shoulder and heads to Philip and Dindy's room.
When I'm near the door, it slowly opens. Furrowing my brows I slowly walk forward. Keeping my senses on high alert, it's not Philip's thing to leave their room open. Slowly grabbing the door knob, with my eyes peeking on the small open space. There's no one inside. We'll that's strange, I was about to close the door when a small figure made it's way to my direction.
"Daddy! Door busted!" Dindy yells with her small voice pointing at the door.
Philip went out from the bathroom next wiping his arms and hands with a white towel, "Daddy will fix that later Dinds, no need to freak out." He kneels down to lever his daughter's face, cupping it with his large palms he states, "You remind me so much of your mother. "
"Mum?" Dindy ask raising her brow, "She come back or no?"
Philip slowly shake his head looking down the marble floor, "Mommy isn't coming back Dind, Mom's an angel now.", his tone almost teary.
Not wanting to eavesdrop anymore, I loudly clear my throat.
Fortunately Philip hears me, he quickly scramble up. Dusting his pants as he pats to top of Dindy's head. Seeing my serious look he look down his daughter and give her a smile.
"Dindy play outside now?" Dindy ask giving him her famous puppy eyes.
"Sure, just be careful." He lean down and kiss her little fluffy cheeks, "Go look for Holly."
