Alexander Nixon
"You see any sign of her?" Adivia voice filled the quiet car, we have been parked across the street from LA cafe for the past ten minutes. We kept a close eye on people going in and coming out.
"If I did I would've said something don't you think," My voice held little to no emotion. The precense or mention of this woman, Cheryl, really does something to my attitude.
"Just trying to make conversation." I ignored her and kept my focus on the cafe, scanning the area for a red head I'm all too familiar with. I was waiting to see it appear out of nowhere and demand everyone's attention like it always does.
"Since when do you care to make conversation?" I force myself to look away from the cafe for the first time since we got here and faced her.
"I don't," she kept her focus on the cafe to avoid my gaze. "After what you said today about you being in love with her I'm realizing this isn't entierely your fault and its kinda rough for you. I mean you share the blame with your parents and myself but you're the only one-"
"Paying the price," I finished her sentence. "Yeah, I said that already." I went back to the task at hand, I mean if she wanted to say that she could have just did. No need to start a conversation here, not like we're strangers.
"She should be here by now." I said under my breath. "You think she figured out what happened?" I couldn't help to ask, the idea has been playing in my head since we got here.
"Not at all she's here, look behind the brunette coming up towards the entrance."
I followed her directions and my eyes finally caught sight of the woman. The red head woman who looks so much more different from the last times I saw her. She doesn't walk with the same confindence like she used to, her shoulders are slumped and her eyes are kept on the ground occasionally glancing up to see ahead. Her skin doesn't glow nor does her hair glisten like before.
Her clothes aren't the expensive type she use to strut around in, she was never one to brag about her lifestyle but she sure knew how to catch the eyes of other where ever she goes. I give the lady props for looking that good but now, none of that is here. Her hair looks terribly different, it doesn't have the fire red look she was praised to have naturally. It looked uncared for and damaged, I probably would've looked right past her if I saw her.
Her fire has burned out.
"Wow she looks nothing like her usual self." Adivia said more to herself than to me as she put on a hat and exited the car. I kept my eyes fixed on Cheryl, taking my time to look at her before I sped off down the streets of LA with the police station as my destination.
It would be easier to wait until I'm certain Adivia did what she is suppose to but the one thing we can not control is time, we know it doesn't wait on anyone. Patterson will definitely question why I would hold on to this type of information, there is no reason why I should. I'm her main suspect therefore I should be breaking my neck to let her know about the confession.
As soon as I entered the L.A precinct I asked to speak to Detective Patterson and after explaining the importance and urgency of doing so within a few minutes I was carried to the room I'm way too familiar with. These few walls hold so many different stories for so many different people.
"Mr.Nixon," the door opened and revealed Detective Patterson and her partner, she didn't try to hide the unpleasant look on her face. Once she was close enough to the desk she rested her hands on her hips allowing her jacket to move back which gave a full view of her badge.
