Nayeli Binns

"Nayeli, come in." Anthony steps to the side allowing me to enter the house. It was simple and neat but nothing like I expected it to be.

"Not my first choice but not everyone can afford to live in such luxury like my brother," he said as if he were reading my mind. I assume he was also trying to reduce the awkwardness between us. He offered me something to drink as he led me to the kitchen, I expected he would've chosen water or juice but to my surprise he pours vodka in two glasses. Why am I even surprised?

"I don't drink." I politely refused the glass before he offers it to me.

"You don't?" The frown on his face was deep as if he was discombobulated.

"Not unless I have a reason."

"Isn't this a reason? One won't hurt." The thought crossed my mind but I came here for one reason only and I don't need liquor to help me.

"No thank you. I do however want to talk to you about the situation between you and Alexander." I watched as he downed the glass of vodka he offered me. His actions reminded me of his brother and I immediately spotted the similarity between them.

"What's there to talk about?" His voice was now flat at the mention of his brother's name.

"I don't like that you guys are fighting, you guys need to put this nonsense behind you."

"He's the one acting as if I need to kiss his ass, flaunting around as if he's better than me." The anger is clear in his voice and this time he turned the bottle of vodka to his head. "One day I will hurt him."

"Why does everything have to include violence? You both need to stop acting so childish." I argued but it seems to be in vain.

Nothing I said seemed to be pushing him to consider making the effort, if anything I was making the situation worse. I was starting to realize this was a bad idea and Alexander was right about me staying away from him. I didn't know what else to say but I accepted that I wasted my time and I was ready to leave. No sense in staying any longer, I tried.

"I think it's best if I just leave."

"So soon? You're leaving faster than you got here."

"Yes this was a terrible idea, I should go before Alexander finds out I was here," I said under my breath as I began to walk away. I didn't expect him to hear me at all.

"He doesn't know that you are?" I watch as he finally places the bottle on the counter and slowly makes his way around the counter.

"No he doesn't, I don't know why I came here it was stupid," he laughed and it sent a chill down my spine. I continued on my way to the door but Anthony blocked my way, I knew he would try something like this.

"Anthony I need to leave, can you please just excuse me?" He didn't hear a word I said because he was too busy raking his eyes over my body and that alone made the blood through my veins run cold.

"Take your clothes off," he demanded and it took me by surprise.

"Anthony you're drunk now please let me leave." I laughed trying to hide my fear but it quickly died down when I realized he was one hundred percent aware of what he was doing. I'm sure the liquor doesn't work that quickly and deep down I knew that but I also wanted to convince myself this does not look like what I think it is.

I'm in more danger than I thought.

"Anthony?" My voice was shaking from fear. I had to make a decision and I had to do it fast. Either I run for the door or fight him off and seeing that I wasn't as big as he was I knew I had to go with option one. I tried running in the opposite direction to the door which seemed further away that it was before. I knew it was just my nerves and I couldn't let my nerves get the best of me.
