Someone you loved-Lewis Capaldi

Nayeli Binns

"Our first Christmas together," I jumped slightly startled by Alexander's sudden appearance. I smiled as he dropped his head between the crook of my neck leaving small, gentle kisses. He snaked both arms around my waist pulling me closer to his body.

"How do you feel?" I laughed while keeping my focus on the pancake batter I was busy mixing at the moment.

"How do I feel?" He repeated as if he was giving it thought. "I got you right by my side, which means the most to me right now so how do you think I feel?"

He never fails to make me feel loved and appreciated.

"Okay loverboy the feelings is mutual but I was referring to your fever," we shared a laugh.

"I feel good, a little tired but better than the last few days."

"Good because I was going to take you to the doctor's regardless if you wanted to or not."

"You really was about to drag me to the hospital?" He pretended to be hurt which came off as adorable.

"By your hair," I poured the batter in the pan so I could finish up breakfast. When I looked at Alexander his face held the funniest expression I have ever seen him with. Once again we both ended up having a fit of laughter.

"Merry Christmas handsome," I hugged him tightly.

"Merry christmas to you too, breakfast is looking amazing by the way, thank you beautiful, do you need any help?"

"Not at all, you need to go back to bed. When I'm finished I will come get you, you need more rest." I pushed him out of the kitchen.

"Why do you feel like you have to do everything by yourself?"

"I don't," I gave him a quick peck on the cheek before returning to the stove.

After a while I was finally finished and as I made my way to the bedroom I could overhear Alexander talking. He seemed to be focused on the conversation because he didn't even recognize that I had entered the room until I touched his shoulder.

"I have to go to my office to meet with my lawyer," he stood from the bed and went straight to the closet, I trailed behind him waiting for him to explain the situation in more detail.

"Someone wants to sue me due to faulty the airbags, I'm not too worried since they have get an expert to determine that the sole reason the airbags did not deploy was due to a defect."

"Don't you think that's the first thing they're going to do since that will be the main thing in the law suit? And we both know that individuals isn't the only one who faced that issue, so yes you should be worried." He dropped his hand to his side and slowly turned to face me.

"I'm coming with you," I went to my side of the closet to pick out an appropriate outfit.

"You don't have to Nayeli."

"But I want to, why do you feel like you have to do everything by yourself?" I smirked at my choice of words.

"I don't," he planted a kiss on my lips before we both continued our search for clothes.

"We'll be home in time to make it your father's dinner." He fell silent but I didn't bother to question the reason why, he has a bigger issue at the moment. Definitely no need to burden him.
