There he was.. In plain sight sitting on my bed. I had to be dreaming.

"I know you heard me Amara who was that nigga?"

"Josh what the hell? You scared the shit out of me! Am i dreaming?"

"Nah this aint no damn dream! When an Angel is assigned to a certain person or task they can only be seen through dreams but since you have been growing away from the task I was allowed to come "guide you" back to whats important.Only you can see me." Everything that he was telling me had me even more confused than before.

"Im not growing away from the task,  I just dont care about it as much as before. I agreed to still help you but after that I want you gone forever got it?  You cant just pop up into my life when you want to anymore Joshua." He walked closer to me and i backed away. This shit was slowly starting to freak me out.

"You know i cant let you go like that."He backed me into a corner.

"Josh your scaring me.."

The look in his eyes was so different.I didnt know who this person was it sure wasnt the man i fell in love with.

August P.O.V

Kyra came back home after our talk last night.I guess it was her hormones causing her to act like that. I cant wait until this pregnancy shit is over with, its stressing a nigga out.

"Babyyyy... Can you bring me the ice cream out the fridge?" Ky yelled from our bedroom.

I paused my video game and went to cater to my woman. I got her the ice cream and took it upstairs.When I got to our bedroom Kyra was sprawled out across the bed with chocolate bars and carrots stuffed in her mouth.

"Dont choke fatty." I said while handing her the ice cream.

"August you should know better from last time about calling a pregnant woman fat." she mugged me. "Babe what is this? You know i dont eat Strawberry I want Pecan!"

"Aint no Pecan"

"Well go get some!" I gave her the who the hell you talking to look. "Please daddy." she pouted.

"Fine man, I'll be back." I grabbed my keys off the dresser and headed to the store.

While driving i rolled past Amara's house. Im not going to lie I been thinking of her like crazy but i knew the other night was wrong. I was debating with myself about stopping by to check on her. I just couldn't face her knowing what we did but at the same time she was still one of my really good friends. I pulled onto her street and sat in the drive way. Its either now or never. I got out and headed for the front door. I knocked twice and waited for someone to answer the door. Tamia's guy Darius opened the door and dapped me up.

"What's up bro?" He asked while letting me in.

"Nothing cooling I came to see Amara."

"Oh yeah she upstairs, but aye check it out..Yall just friends right?"

"No doubt! Im married with a shorty on the way, I just know Amara needs a friend sometimes..My lady cool with it."

"Ohh iight cool bro! Cuz you know my bro Rico go his eye on the prize. " He chucked. That kind of pissed me off a little to be honest but i didnt let it show.  I just nodded my head, told him ill talk to him later and went up stairs. I walked into Amara's room and she was sitting in the corner of her bedroom crying.

"Amara.." She lifted her head and quickly wipped her eyes.

"What are you doing here August?" She lifted herself up and sat on her bed.

"I came to check on you, why were you just crying though?"

"I dont wanna talk about it."

"You sure?  You know im always down to listen." she nodded her head.

"yeah im sure."

"Okay, soooo....... Who's Rico?" she burst into laughter.

"How do you know about Rico?"

"I ran into Darius Down stairs and he basically told me to back off because his bro Rico had his eye on you." She started laughing.

"Well if you must know.. After you left the other night I went on a blind double date with Mia,Darius and Rico."

"So you look him?" I asked with much curiosity in my voice.

"Yeah, hes a gentleman. We're going out again this weekend."

"Hmm." I started to play with my phone.

Amara P.O.V

"What does that mean?" August started to act extremely weird.

"Nothing, I mean that's cool and all I hope he make you happy." He started texting away on his phone."Look i gotta go, I was supposed to be making a store run for Ky." He stood up and walked around to the side of the bed that i was sitting on. I stood up and wrapped my arms around his torso as he hugged me back. We pulled apart and looked at eachother for a couple seconds. We both started to slowly inch towards eachother. My eyes were glued to his lips the whole time. Our lips barely touched as someone burst through the door.

"Amara Rico's hereee..." August and I jumped apart and stood there awkwardly."Oh Damn my bad." He quickly shut the door.

"Darius wait!" I ran after him. I was terrified that he was going to tell Rico what he just saw. I felt so stupid.I just met this man and now Im going to lose him already.
