The next day Hercules signed in and put his things in his locker, trying to move quickly so he could talk to Lafayette.

His discovery from last night was eating him up alive, but of course he couldnt tell anyone.

"Hey Hercules, you okay?" Aaron asked the man, his hand on the mans arm as Hercules closed his locker.

"I-im good, aaron." Hercules said, though his tone said an entirely different thing.

"Whats up? You can tell me anything, you know?" Aaron said, wishing so very hard for the man to trust him. To confide everything in him. Say everything, leave nothing in the dark.

But alas, even his hardest wishes wouldnt be enough.

"Im good, really." Hercules said, offering a small smile as he left the room.

Aaron sighed, sitting down and wondering what on earth he was doing wrong.

Hercules raced to Lafayette's cell, finding the frenchman talking to his roomate. Lafayette and Thomas sat on the top bunk, snacking on a bag of chips from commisary.

"non, je veux dire ... l'homme dont je parle n'est pas exactement comme James, mais-(no, i mean...the man i talk about isn't exactly like James, but-)" Lafayette said, before Thomas nodded towards the door.

Hercules was standing in the doorframe, waiting for the right moment to pull Lafayette somewhere private and tell him everything he had learned. Everything he felt.

"Why you always come round here?" Thomas asked. "We didnt do nothing wrong." He added, crossing his arms.

"Its okay, Thomas." Lafayette said, jumping down from the top bunk.

"You sure?" Thomas asked skeptically, eyeing the guard.

"Im sure." Lafayette said, smiling at his friend before walking over to the guard.

"Can we go somewhere where i can talk to you alone?" Hercules asked quietly.

"Sure." Lafayette responded, happy to see the man.

Lafayette made small talk the whole way, while Hercules stayed silent, all the secrets in his head gnawing at him.

No matter. Only a few more minutes until he could say everything.

The second the door of the laundry room closed and locked, Lafayette fell silent.

Why was Hercules acting so strange?

"Do you know how long until work block?" Hercules asked.

"Todays visitation.." Lafayette said.

"Good. We have a lot of time." Hercules said. Lafayette was starting to get confused, and admittadly a little concerned.

"Whats going on?" He asked.

"Lafayette. I..i need to tell you something. And you might hate me for seeking it out, but you need to know." Hercules said, running a hand through his hair, brain racing as he tried to figure out how to say the next part.
