I tossed my phone to the side.

"(Y/N) UNLOCK YOUR DAMN DOOR IT'S CHRISTMAS MORNING AND I'M THE ONLY ONE WITH A PROPER EXCUSE TO SLEEP IN!" Mai shouted.

"No."

"Brendon sent us potatoes and unless you get out right now I'm gonna eat it," Raven taunted.

I hesitated for a second.

"Does it have his face carved into it?"

"...Yes."

"You can have it," I sighed, picking up my phone again.

"Wow, you clearly care so much for your only brother," Raven said.

"I refuse to eat anything with his face on it," I replied, "plus, he already gave me a Christmas present that isn't a potato. I haven't opened it though. Now leave me alone."

-

"Well that went well," Alex sighed. "Do you wanna watch horror movies?"

"I thought people watched Christmas movies on Christmas?" Mai asked with a tone of genuine confusion.

"Well then those people aren't celebrating Christmas correctly," Luna stated.

"...Is this a Reynolds' only thing?"

"Yes. Now, what movie do you guys wanna watch?"

"How about 'Human Centipede'?" Alex suggested, being the sadistic fucker she is.

"OOH, FUCK YEAH!" Raven exclaimed, "I'll go make some popcorn!"

"I, uh, don't really like horror, but okay," Mai muttered as she followed Luna and Alex to the living room.

Mai was wrapped in a blanket burrito with only her eyes visible, shaking. The others were pretty chill for the most part.

Except Luna. She was about to throw the fuck up.

"Can we watch the second movie?" Raven begged.

"Unless you want me to finish the rest of the ice cream, fuck no," Mai replied, "Jesus fucking Christ I hate horror."

"First of all, I thought you weren't Christian, and second of all, why did you agree to watch it?" Luna queried.

"First of all, everyone I know says it so it rubbed off on me, and second of all, I have nothing better to do and I thought I could revert to my 8 year old self," Mai shot back.

"You watched horror when you were 8?" Raven said incredulously.

"It was my favorite genre. I watched 'IT' with a straight face."

"What the fuck happened to you?" Luna ran her left hand through her long, brassy brown hair.

Mai shrugged, "My parents stopped renting horror movies because they thought it'd be a bad influence or something."

"Well, let's watch another movie," Alex said, standing up and grabbing the remote.
