Chapter 22

Yawnnn Naruto and I both stretched. "I'll start breakfast.." I said rolling out of bed and hitting the floor. "What do you want?" I said standing up and smacking myself in the face lightly to wake up. "...toast.." Naruto mumbled still waking up. I walked over to the kitchen and made some toast.

I placed it down in front of Naruto and put my plate down beside him. "Thanks" he said. He reached out for the milk. Check it.. I watched him closely and he shook it to see if it sounded right, it didnt. He sighed and just ate his toast.

After Naruto and I got ready we walked out the door. Naruto locked the door and tightened his headband. "Okay, wake up! Rock and roll!" Naruto yelled with a sudden energy boost. He ran off yelling "I'm ready!" I stood there surprised. What the. I ran after him and yelled "Wait for me!"

I was running in front of Naruto. I'll beat him! I saw pink hair ahead. Sakura! I ran faster and yelled "Beat ya!" As I stopped in front of Sasuke. Naruto finally made his way over here. "Heh..Hey, good morning, Sakura. What's up?" Naruto said but ended up looking at Sasuke. I walked up and leaned back next to him. Sasuke was looking at Naruto out of the corner of his eye. "Humph." They both said turning their heads in the other direction. Sasukes face was really...close to mine. I blushed and he opened his eyes, noticing how close we were. I gave him a close eye smile, not knowing what to do. He had pink tinted to his cheeks and he looked down. Cute.

We've been waiting for hours for Kakashi-sensei. "Hey guys. Good morning. Sorry, I'm late. Afraid I got lost on the path of life" Kakashi said. I felt my eye twitch. Naruto and Sakura both yelled at his excuse. "I'm ready for the next ninja mission, sensei. And, hey. No more of this dumb beginner stuff, okay? I want a chance to prove myself. I'm talking a real mission where I could show what I'm made of. Ah! I got to break out and burn it up! See!" Naruto said with fire in his eyes.

"Uh, right. I get it. That's great, Naruto. Now, take it easy, would you?" Kakashi said putting his hands up in defense. Naruto turned around and glared at Sasuke. Why is he glaring at him like that? He put his hand up and put it in a fist. He just stared at him. He's probably imagining a scenario where he saves Sasuke and gets the glory. "Believe it!" Naruto yelled "let us know when you're done fantasizing, Naruto, so we can start the mission. Alright?" Kakashi said. "Right!" "Could you not be so annoying, Naruto, just for once?" Sakura said annoyed.

Our mission today is to pull weeds from a lady's garden. It's a big change from the Zabuza situation but eh. "Well, I'm going to beat Sasuke anyway." Naruto said pulling..everything out of the ground. "N-naruto be careful of what your pulling!" I said worried. "Don't worry!" He yelled continuing pulling herbs.

After we were all done, naruto had a huge stack of green. "Hey, you!" The lady who hired us yelled. "Hm? Oh, hi, lady, I got rid of all your weeds. Pretty cool, huh?" Naruto said proudly. The lady put her head down and furrowed her eyebrows. "Uh, what's wrong?" Naruto asked confused. "You pulled the weeds, and you also pulled up my plants...Those were special herbs I've been growing, and you destroyed them!" She yelled smacking Naruto. Usually I would stop her but I warned Naruto.

Our next mission is throwing away the trash that's in the river. Naruto screams and falls in the water, splashing me. Naruto was getting pulled away by the force of the water towards the big waterfall. Sasuke ran past us tied a rope around a tree branch, held it tightly, and jumped off the cliff to catch Naruto. When I noticed that Sasuke was holding onto something orange I sighed in relief. "You are such a loser" Sasuke said making Naruto grunt.

We have to walk Kakashi-sensei's summoning dogs and of course, Naruto chose the biggest dog. "Hey! Hey! Not there! We're supposed to go the other way! Hey! I'm talking to you! Gaah! Damnit it!" Naruto yelled while being pulled around. "What a loser." Sasuke said. Sakura sighed and said "Of course! He just has to choose the biggest dog."
