Chapter 46

"Now the ninth match, Naruto Uzumaki and Kiba Inuzuka." Hayate said. I gripped my shirt tightly as I watched. "I've been waiting forever for this. Sorry, Kiba. Don't take it personally if I blow you away." Naruto said "That's just what I was going to say. Only not so politely. Right, Akamaru?" Kiba yelled. "Oh, yeah? Well, talking is easy. Let's see what you've got to say at the end of the match." Naruto yelled back.

Kiba scoffed and put Akamaru down saying "Little squirt." "Wait a second. Are you kidding me. What's the puppy doing here? He's just going to get in the way." Naruto said pointing at Akamaru. "Deal with it. I never go into battle without Akamaru." Kiba said and Akamaru barked. "Come on, isnt that against the rules or something?" Naruto asked

"No. Like Shino's bugs, they are a part of him. He is within the rules" Hayate said. Naruto stared blankly at him but then said "Whatever. Fine with me. I do my best work with a handicap." "Ha! We'll just see about that. Akamaru, you stay right here and leave all this to me. I've got it." Kiba said and Akamaru growled a bit.

Sakura and I were cheering for Naruto. "Go on, Naruto! You can't lose to this jerk." Sakura yelled. "Yeah! Come on Naruto! You can do it!" I yelled. I really hope he can do it.. I know he has grown so much since then, but I hope he can pull through. I remember when he couldn't even form a single okay looking clone or even transform well. I always felt bad when they would laugh at him for it. So, Naruto, this is you're chance to show them how strong you are.

"Look, I feel sorry for you. So I'm going to finish you off with one shot, k?" Kiba said. "Yeah? Is that right? Man, you're even dumber than you look if you think you can beat me." Naruto said. "You sure talk tough for such a little squirt." Kiba said louder and Akamaru barked again. "When you're ready, you can begin." Hayate said.

Kiba knelt down and put his hands together. After a few seconds his chakra became visible. He hit them on the ground and it looked like his nails were turning into claws. "Here I come." He said and in a second he moved and elbowed Naruto right in the stomach. Naruto went flying back and Sakura and I gasped. Kiba stood back up and said "This little guy is going to be out for a while. You can call the match." Kiba said looking at Hayate. Theres no way in hell that he's down already, right?

"Thought as much." Shikamaru said. "I thought Kiba might me too much for him, but that was fast." Ino said. I gripped my shirt as I watched Naruto laid there. "Oh, Naruto. That was embarrassing." Lee said. "I just know that Naruto isnt down" I mumbled. Sakura and I looked back at Kakashi and he smiled at us. Hm, okay, so that's it.

Naruto slowly sat up. Kiba was already walking but turned around when he heard Naruto. "What? No way." Kiba said shocked. I knew Naruto wouldn't go down with just a hit. Come on, Naruto. Show them what you got. Naruto stood up fully and looked up at Kiba "Don't ever- dont ever underestimate me!"

"Yeah!" Lee yelled. I giggled happily as I grabbed the railing and leaned over it a bit. "Atta boy, Naruto!" Sakura yelled. "Yeah, yeah. More tough talk. Look at yourself in a mirror. You're a mess." Kiba yelled. "Ha. I just wanted to see what you've got. Frankly, you hit like an old lady. You have a better chance of winning this if you send that puppy in to fight for you." Naruto said and that seemed to anger Kiba. He glared and snarled his teeth "You're going to regret that. Come on, Akamaru."

Kiba and Akamaru started running at Naruto. Kiba had something in his hands and Naruto asked himself "Smoke grenades?" "Take this!" Kiba threw the smoke grenades and it exploded purple powder everywhere. I couldn't see clearly what was going on so I was squinting hard. I heard Naruto grown as if he was getting hit.

Naruto came running out of the smoke but Akamaru was ready to attack him. "He fell for it!" Kiba yelled. Akamaru jumped up and bit Narutos hand. Sakura and I gasped. "What the." Ino said and Shikamaru said "Darn. The best part, and I can't see anything."
