Chapter 65

Everyone was clapping and cheering for Naruto. Different people yelling his name and smiling at him. Naruto looked so happy when he was looking at them. "Yeah!" He yelled put his fingers up in a peace sign. He started to run around smiling like the goofball he is. I couldn't stop smiling for him. "Naruto defeated Neji? Oh man, I can't believe it. And I thought Naruto was the same as me, one of the dorky uncool guys." Shikamaru said. "Dorky and uncool?" Shino asked.

"Now everyone's saying that he's going to make something big of himself. Just great. I doing I could beat him now. This is really bad. I've never felt no depressed. What a drag." "Drag? No, this is awesome Shikamaru! I'm so happy for him!" I said smiling. "Hey, weren't you training with him? Are you stronger like him too?" Shikamaru asked with a gloomy look on his face.

I just giggled and shrugged. "Aw man. Now a girl stronger than me." Shikamaru said leaning on the railing. "Pfft. Of course not Shikamaru." I said smacking his back. I looked back down at Naruto and saw him running towards us.

Naruto came up to us and I gave him a big hug. We almost fell down but Naruto took a step back in time. "You did it Naruto!" I yelled happily. He started to chuckle and we walked over to Shikamaru and Shino.

After a few minutes the crowd started yelling for the next match. That Sasuke, what in the world does he think he's doing? Forfeiting?" Shikamaru asked. "A wise man never courts danger, leading to a wise decision." Shino said. "Huh, what are you talking about? He's definitely going to be here, believe it." Naruto said and he looked over at Gaara.

"Listen everyone. One of the competitors from the next battle has not arrived yet, so we're going to postpone this match briefly and simply jump ahead to the battle that would have follow this one." The proctor said. Naruto and I sighed in relief. "That's good." Naruto said. Sasuke, where are you right now? The crowd was booing and complaining.

"Hey, that means my battle's one match closer now. What a drag!" Shikamaru said. "Then on to the next battle. So Shino and Kankuro come down." Shino put his hand on the railing. "Proctor! I withdraw." Kankuro said. We all thurned our head surprised. "I withdraw, so please advance to the next match." Kankuro said. "Due to Kankuro's withdrawal, Shino Aburame wins by default." The proctor announced. The crowd got even more upset.

Temari pulled out her fan thing and swung it. If caused strong winds and she rode it down to the battle ground. "And you are?" The Proctor asked. "It's my turn, right?" Tamari asked. "Well, you're sure an eager one, aren't you? Fine, let's start the next match then. Hey, you up there. Come down." The proctor said looking at Shikamaru. "Oh, come on. What are you doing moving these matches up like this. Why does it have to be my stupid match that gets pushed up. Oh man, this is such a drag." "Come on Shikamaru. You got this." I said.

"Shikamaru Nara, come on." The proctor said. Naruto came out of nowhere and smacked Shikamarus back really hard. "Alright! Go on, Shikamaru." Naruto yelled. Shikamaru was falling off the railing because of him. He gave him one final smack "You can do it!" He added and Shikamaru fell down. There were the sounds of him yelling and a thud. I looked over the railing to see he landed on his back.

He was staring up at us as he laid there. Wait, oh my god my fights next! Ah! Wait! I'm not ready! Now I know how Shikamaru felt! Shikamaru continued to lay there as people in the crowd threw their trash on the battle ground. He was still laying there as some trash bounced off his head.

"What is it? You planning on giving up, too?" Temari asked. I always knew Shikamaru wasn't motivated to anything, but just laying there is just..sad. "Come on, come on. Get up and fight. Get it together Shikamaru. You going to get going sometime this year?" Naruto yelled stomping his feet. "Well, if you wont move, I will." Temari said getting impatient. She ran towards Shikamaru and the proctor said "Hey, I didn't start the match yet."
