We stood in front of the table ready for our mission. "Oh, let's do it! Whatever the mission is, I'm psyched and ready to go!" Naruto said "Hpmh" Sasuke said and Naruto looked over at him. "But where's Kakashi-sensei?" Sakura asked. "Man, some teacher. He's always the last one here." Naruto said. "Kakashi wont be here at all." A familiar voice said. "Huh?" We all said looking up. "Granny Hokage" "Grandma Tsunade." Naruto and I said at the same time. "What's up?" Naruto asked. "Would you two stop calling me that, will you?" She said sitting down.

"Uh, Lady Hokage. What's this about Kakashi-sensei not coming?" Sakura asked. "You know our forces are stretched thin. All of our Jonin are already busy on other missions, including Kakashi. You four will just have to handle this one on your own. It's a B rank escort mission. Someone important." Granny Hokage said. "Important? Really?" Sakura asked. "Of course, it could develop into an A rank mission if you run into trouble." Tsunade said. "So, who do we escort?" Sasuke asked. "I dont know."

"Hold on. What do you mean you don't know?" Naruto asked. "Every four years, our neighbor, the Land of Tea, holds a dedication ceremony at the Great Todoroki Shrine, and each time we're asked to escort a runner who will participate in the race that's part of the ceremonies. This year, the messengers who were bringing the request were attacked before they could get here." Tsunade said. "Who attacked them?" Naruto asked. "I'm sorry, but I'm still not following this story very well." Sakura said.

"Well, don't worry about that now. When you meet Boss Jirocho, he'll fill you in on everything." Tsunade said. "When we meet Boss Jirocho? Ah! That gambler guy we met." Naruto said. "Oh yeah, and those two guys" I said pointing at Naruto. "That's everything I know. Now, no wasting time. They're expecting you in the Land of Tea by the end of the day, so get moving." Tsunade said pointing her arm to the right. "Got it." "Right." "Okay." "Don't worry. You can count on us!" Naruto and us said. We ran out the door.

We were all walking on the trail towards the Land of Tea. "Hey, Sakura. You hungry at all?" Naruto asked. "A little bit, maybe." Sakura said. "Hey! Good idea! Lunch break. And look, what a coincidence. There just happens to be a tea house right there." Naruto said and ran towards it. "Wait, Naruto!" Sakura said, but he continued to run.

"What would you be having?" The lady asked placing down our tea. "Some sweet bean soup!" Naruto said. "Dango, please" I said smiling. "I'll have the dumplings, please. And you, Sasuke?" Sakura said. "Just rice." Sasuke said. "Very good. I'll be back in a moment." The lady walked off.

I sat by Naruto and across from Sakura. "I just hope we get some fighting in!" Naruto said. "Don't you dare go making trouble, Naruto. Not this time." Sakura said. "I wont" Naruto said. All of a sudden, a boy walked past us and said "Just sitting around in the shade, sucking down sweet bean soup. A ninja's life is pretty cushy." He said. "What'd you say?" Naruto asked with an upset face. We all stared at him. "I guess you don't get much action on the Leaf Village, judging by how out of shape you look." He turned his head towards us. "That does it." Naruto said slamming his hand on the table and stood up.

"Hey. Where'd you two come from, sweetie? I didnt see you girls sitting here. I didnt mean you two, of course." He said looking at Sakura and I. "Hello~ I'm Idate Morino" He said leaning on the edge of the table. "So, uh, what do they call you?" He asked putting his face in his hand. "You gonna punch him in the nose, right, Sakura, right, (Y/n). Or do you want me to?" Naruto shouted looking at us. Eh, Naruto, you told him our names..

"Sakura, (Y/n), huh? Those are beautiful names. Well then. Since fate has brought us all together, isn't it time we talked about our future?" He said winking.
