Chapter 57

Jiraiya watched as the girls from before were playing in the water again. "Hey. Pervy Sage. Hello? Are you going to watch me try this jutsu again or not?" Naruto asked. "Can't you see I'm busy with my research? Do it yourself." Pervy sage said not even looking back towards us. I pouted and Naruto grunted. "Okay. We will. And this time I'm going to summon a frog the size of a house." Naruto said.

He bit his thumb and made the hand signs "Summoning jutsu." He put his hand on the ground and a small pop noise happened. "So how did it go? Did you get a frog to appear?" Pervy sage asked turning around. When the air cleared up all you can see is a tadpole. "Wait. Give it a second. I think it's still growing." Naruto said frantically shaking his hands.

Pervy sage stared at it for a second but randomly yelled "Listen, if you're not going to take this seriously, then I'm through with you. Do you understand me?" "I am serious. You're the one who's staring at the girls, you old goat." Naruto yelled back. "Stop fooling around and focus on your chakras as if your life depended on it." "What do you think I'm doing?" I just sighed as they yelled back and fourth.

I walked away from them so I can focus and not hear any yelling. Also if Naruto were to actually summon a toad, I don't want to get hit by it. I heard Naruto and after pervy sage yelling. It looks like he's still summoning tadpoles, actually I'm not one to talk. I bit my thumb and made the hand signs "Summoning Jutsu!" I shouted and pushed my hand on the ground. A small poof happened and I already knew where it was going. A tadpole appeared under my hand, but this time it was bigger. I smile a bit realizing I was improving.

I continued to do it multiple times. I felt my thumb throb from biting and putting pressure on it. As I continued to do it I realized I wasnt focused on it anymore. I really wonder how Sasuke is, or if we can visit him now, or how Lee is.. I would like to visit them once I'm done with this. I can't wait until I master this so I can show Sasuke and maybe he'll be proud.

Pervy sage sighed "What a bore. It's obvious our friends in the swimming suits aren't coming back so how about we call it a day. Huh, guys?" "Wha- uh?" I stuttered out. "But you're supposed to be training us. Come on, please? One more time, okay?" Naruto asked. "I'm tired. And I'm hungry. That's enough. We've been out here half a day." Pervy sage said. I felt my eye twitch "But you haven't done anything." I said. "You little squirt. You should be grateful I'm even hanging out with you two." Pervy sage yelled in my face.

Naruto and I covered our face. "Okay. Wait, I know what you need. Sexy jutsu." Naruto said and poofed into sexy Naruto. Pervy sage made a weird face and then Naruto poofed into himself. "Wait. That's it? That wasn't very long." Pervy sage said. "Hey, we've already got that jutsu down, okay? It's the Summoning Jutsu I want to work on." Naruto said. Pervy sage croached down "Okay, okay, okay. Go ahead. Give it another shot."

"Right. Here we go. Summoning Jutsu." Naruto put his hand on the ground and I small poof appeared. "Victory!" Naruto yelled. Pervy sage just stared at it for a little bit, but soon randomly yelled "Hopeless. Why do I waste my time with you?" Naruto pointed at it "What! Are you blind?" If you were to look closer you can see the tadpole had little legs. It wiggled around for a little bit "You see? This one's got legs." Naruto said. "Great. Now just give it two arms and a brain and maybe I can train it." Pervy sage yelled. "Why do you have to be so negative? You gotta admit, at least I'm making progress."

We were walking back home after Pervy sage yelled at us. Naruto was mumbling something to himself, probably sulking that we had to leave. As we were walking I saw someone familiar. "I'll meet you at home. I have something to do real quick." I said waving at Naruto and running in the other direction.

"Sakura!" I yelled as she was about to walk in her house. She turned her head and looked at me. "Oh, hey (Y/n)" Sakura said walking towards me. "So, um, have you visited Sasuke yet? Or Lee? I mean, I would have but I've been busy." I asked rubbing the back of my head. I noticed the expression on her face and I began to feel a little worried.

"What happened?" I asked walking a bit closer. "Ino and I went to visit them today and.. well.. Lee was out of bed training and passed out before he could finish. Sasuke.. he.. he was gone completely." Sakura said looking down. Sasuke was.. gone? "What do you mean?" I asked getting more worried. "Well, we went into his room with the nurse and he was gone and his clothes." Sakura said. Oh.. I know where he is, or more like who he's with.

"What about Lee?" I asked. "We went to his room after we went to Sasukes and he was out of bed. When I looked out the window and he was doing push-ups. He kept saying he needed to finish but before he could, he collapsed." Sakura and I looked down. "Did you hear about Lee?" Sakura asked breaking the silence. "About his ninja days." She added. "Yeah.." I said quietly. I remember what the medic ninja told Guy. I'm sorry. I know how much it means to you both, but he'll never fight again. His days as a Shinobi are over.

"Don't worry, Sakura. We haven't known Lee for long, but I know he wont go down that easily. And as for Sasuke.. dont worry. I think I know who he's with, and it's someone we know and trust." I said giving her a light smile. She looked up and me "okay, thanks" she said quietly and a voice yelled "Sakura, it's late! Get in here!" I jumped realizing that it was her mom. Sakura grunted clearly angry at her yelling mother. "Oh sorry for keeping you out late. Goodnight." I said turning and walking off. "Goodnight" I heard from a distance.

When I got to the front door I realized it wasnt locked. Naruto, I know you expected me but someone still could've got in. I opened the door and walked in. I locked the door and took off my shoes. I walked over to the main room and saw Naruto sprawled out over his bed dead asleep. I sighed and put his blankets over him. I walked over to my bed and layed down.

I'm guessing that Sasuke is with Kakashi and if that's the case, I know he should be fine. I just want to know when I can talk to him. I felt myself slowly falling asleep, but was back to my senses when I heard Naruto. "Huh? Oh (Y/n) you're back." Naruto said in a sleepy voice and clearly half asleep. "Yeah" I said rolling over. "Goodnight" he mumbled out. I sighed and smiled "Goodnight, Naruto."
