"Leave me alone." he said, walking out of my house.

"Please, listen, I-"
"Stop following me."
"I need you to listen to me."
"I don't care. You can hang out with whoever you want."

"Leave me alone." he said, turning around.

"If you would just listen to me and stop jumping to conclusions-"
"How am I jumping to conclusions when there's proof!"
"Nothing happened! We were waiting for you!"
"Oh, won't you look at this. Typical you using excuses!"

"Typical you being overdramatic for absolutely no reason!"

"I know how you are. You seem like you're innocent and an angel, but you really just don't care about other people expect for yourself! I was the one who was holding our relationship together. You never tried!"
"Are you joking? I did everything I can for you. I have to work two shifts just so I can afford rent. You know I'm always busy. I try, Ruel. I've been trying the best I possibly could in our relationship. Clearly it wasn't enough for you. Just because I'm not as financially privileged as you doesn't mean I'm any less than you!"

He rolled his eyes.

"You know what, I really thought you were the one. Through everything you've always been there. Are you really going to keep arguing with me over something so petty?"
"I can't do this anymore." he said, turning around and walking away.

"Do what?" I ask, following him.

"Us! I can't deal with you either! You're driving me insane!"
I stopped walking.

"You are always so stuck up in your head. Life is more than just daydreams! You believe that you can make anyone fall in love with you, well, I'm not falling for your trap anymore. I'm done with you." he said.

"So it's more than just him. You wanted to break up with me before this?"
"Yes! You don't make me feel happy anymore! It's just been work for the both of us for the past few months. I'm done with trying."
"B-but you told me that you loved me. Was that a lie too?" I ask, staring at him.

His eyes were filled with guilt.

"No, I really did love you. I just." he paused.
"You don't anymore."
He looked away from me, nodding.

"I never stopped loving you." I whispered.

I looked down at my feet. I could feel his eyes staring at me.

"So you lied?" I ask quietly.
"About?"
"Everything you felt?"
"No, everything I felt was genuine. Until recently."
"You're a great liar." I said, beginning to walk away.

"Wait, y/n-"
I turned around. "I'm sorry I couldn't give you more."
"Y/n, I don't want to end on bad terms."
I laughed softly. "What were you expecting? Do you want me to just forget everything that happened and pretend like you're my best friend? I gave you my everything, Ruel. You-you promised me you loved me. You said you would love me forever."
"I-"
"I guess you're right. Happy endings don't exist." I said, walking away from him.
