"I don't want to offend them." I groaned, tossing my phone onto my bed next to me.

"Okay, but how are you offending them? If you're honest, they can't get mad at you."
"This is so stupid. I should have told them when they first asked that I didn't want to join again, not that I would think about it."

"Y/n, sit up."
"No."
"See? You can say no to me. Say no to them."
"You're different. And the context is different."
"How so?"

"You're my friend. I barely know them that well-"
"That should make it easier then."

"Okay." I said, watching the ceiling. I heard Ruel stand up from my side and grabbed my phone, typing.

After a little while, Ruel handed me my phone.

Hey so you guys are really nice, but I've decided not to join this year. It was fun last year, but this year I'm going to be busy with school work and I can't balance everything out. I hope you understand!

"See? Now send."
"Wait."

"What now?"
"I'm sorry, I-I'm scared. What if they hate me?"
"They're not going to hate you. Just hit send."
"Okay okay." I said, hitting send before I backed out.

"D-did I just send it?"
"Yes, now can we cuddle?"
"Thanks, Ruel." I smiled slightly.
"Of course. If they get upset then just let me know and I'll take care of it for you."
"You're the best." I said, wrapping my arms around his torso.
"I know." he laughed.
