"Can I come over?"
"No." I said.

"Are you crying, baby?"
"No."
"Baby, let me see your face."
I hesitantly turned my phone so he could see me.

"Bubby, what's wrong?" Ruel asked.
"I'm- I'm so stressed! I have three exams tomorrow and I don't understand any of this." I cried.
"Woah, okay, I'm going to come over and help you."
"I thought you were going to the studio today."
"It's okay. I'll just tell Nate I'm not feeling well. I'll be over in a few minutes, okay?"
I nodded. "Thank you, baby."
"Of course. I love you."
"I love you more."
He smiled before ending the call.

I looked down at my papers scattered across my desk and groaned.

"I give up." I cried, falling onto my bed, staring at the ceiling.

A few minutes later, my mom knocked on my door.

"Sweetie, Ruel's here. Woah, are you okay?"
"Mhm. Can you tell him to come in?"
"Yeah. If you need anything, let me know."
"Okay. Thanks, mom."
"Of course, y/n."

Within a few seconds, my door opened again and Ruel walked in, sitting down next to me.

"Baby, sit up."
"I don't want to."
"I can try to help you. What are you studying for?"
"Right now I'm studying for biology."

"Okay, so we can read together and then I'll quiz you. I took bio three years ago, but I'll try to help." he said, standing up and grabbing my textbook.

"Scooch over." he said.
I moved over so you could sit down.

"Come here, baby."
"Ruel, you don't have t-"
"Shh."
I moved over so that I was cuddled into his chest and his arm was behind my back.

He sat the book on his lap and began reading as I followed along silently, listening to him.

For an hour he read the chapters and we reviewed.

"I get it! I get it!" I smiled.
"See? I knew you would get it."
"Yeah, all thanks to you."
He shrugged.
"Thank you, baby." I said, peckering his face with kisses.
"You're going to ace your test now."
"All because of you." I smiled.
