"Okay, y/n, I was thinking-"
"Oh no." I laughed.
"Hey," he frowned. "I'm not telling you my idea then."

"No, Ruel, tell me." I said.
"Nope." he said, typing something on his phone.
"You're mean."
"No, you are." he stuck his tongue out at me.

"Then I'll just hang out with Chase instead."
"No, don't leave. Our cookies are still baking."
"Fine. But I'm only staying because of the cookies."
He rolled his eyes.

"Can we cuddle?"
"Only if you're the big spoon." I said.
"What'? But I'm always the big spoon."
"That's not true. I was the big spoon yesterday and the day before that."

"Ugh, fine."
I smiled, jumping on the empty spot next to him on his bed.
He wrapped his arms around me and I cuddled into his chest.

"You're warm." I smiled.
"What can I say, I got a warm heart." he laughed.

"Y/n?" Ruel asked after a while.
"Mm?"

"Do you think I'll ever get a girlfriend?"
"Of course. Why?"
"I don't know. I feel really sad whenever I hang out with my friends and their girlfriends cause I don't have that relationship with anyone."
"I get that. You know that I haven't been in a relationship yet?"

"Really?"
"Yeah. I was always insecure about that, but my friends always told me that when the time is right, someone will come into your life. You deserve the best, Ruel. You just gotta be a little more patient."
"Yeah. Yeah, you're right."

"Are you into anyone?" I ask.
"Yeah, but this person has a boyfriend."
"Who is it?"
"Do you know Grace?"
"Kija?"
"Yeah."

"I do know her. She's very sweet."
"Yeah. I like her a lot, and I feel awful about it."
"You shouldn't feel bad. Sure, she has a boyfriend, but you're not trying to break them up or anything. Feelings suck but you feel them for a reason. I think crushes are stupid."
"How so?" he asked, tightening his grip around my waist.

"Well, when you're crushing hard, you basically set yourself up for disappointment most of the time. I don't know, the feeling crushes give you is like euphoria. Half the times I have a crush, it's because I fabricate them and make them into this person I wish I could have and give them characteristics I want in someone."

"So you're saying everyone makes their crushes someone greater than they actually are?"
"In a way, yes because I mostly fall in love with the thought of someone rather than who they actually are. Haven't you had the biggest crush on someone and when you finally get over your feelings, you look at them and realize how bad of a person they actually are."

"That's true."
"Yeah. Anyways are the cookies done?"

He reached over and grabbed his phone.

"5 more minutes."
"Okay."

"Hey, y/n?"
"Yes?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."

"I mean it. I really appreciate you."
"Awe, Ruel, I really appreciate you too."

"For real though. Thank you for always being my date to things and for always loving me and giving me advice and everything."
