This is so long, I'll see you at the end (:

[EDITED]

"Y/n, stop staring!" Y/b/f/n said.
"I'm sorry, but how can you not stare." I said, pouting, keeping my eyes fixed on him.

"You didn't eat anything yet, and lunch is almost over. You can stare at him when you're in English together."

I rolled my eyes, beginning to eat my lunch as she/he/they started talking.
"So, anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to join choir with me?"
"See, here's the thing, I can't sing."
"Come on, it'll be fun! Plus, you won't have to sing alone!"
"I don't know. Choir and I have never mixed well." I said, remembering that I joined choir in fourth grade.

"Please?"
"Fine, but you can't miss anything and leave me alone."
"Promise." she/he/they smiled.
"You're lucky that I actually like you." I laughed. "When do I have to come?"
"Today. Meet me in the English hallway and we can go together."
I nearly choked. "Today?"
"Y/b/f/n, I can't come today."
"Why not?"
"Because, the new song is supposed to come out tonight! I need to get ready and prepare myself-"
"Shut up, you're coming with me."

Once lunch was over, we parted our ways.

I took a deep breath before entering English. Dramatic, I know.

I quickly took my seat and pulled out my phone from my pocket, fiddling with it until the teacher came in.

The classroom started filling up with people. I saw Ruel come in, smiling at his friend.

I wish I had this class with my friend. I don't know anyone in here that well.

Ruel sat down in front of me, his normal seat. Sometimes I just want to go over and tap on his shoulder and say hi but I know I could never do it.

Once class started I couldn't pay attention. Ruel was tapping his pencil, and it was beginning to annoy me.

"Can you please stop?" I whispered, not expecting him to hear me.
He stopped tapping his pencil and turned slightly to look at me.

"Sorry." he whispered.

Once he turned around again, my face began heating up. His friend sitting next to him looked at me and rolled her eyes.

I looked away from her, focusing my attention back to the board.

When class ended, I quickly walked out of the classroom and looked for y/b/f/n.

Once I found her/him/them, I linked our arms together and we began walking to the choir room.

"Ah, welcome!" the choir teacher said to us.
I smiled.

"All you need to do is fill out this application and turn it in tomorrow, but for now, I need you to sing so I can organize which section you belong in."
"Wait, by ourselves?" I asked.
He nodded.

"You can go first." he said, pointing to y/b/f/n.
She/he/they nodded.

"Don't worry, no one is here right now except for us."
I nodded, ready to run out of the room.

Y/b/f/n started singing and she/he/they sounded amazing.
"Perfect voice!"
She/he/they smiled, walking back to me.

"Listen, I didn't agree to sing by myse-"
"Okay, you can come up now!"

"I'm sorry, but you're going to love it. Just sing." she/he/they smiled.

I began slowly walking up on the mini stage in the classroom.

"Like I said, no one is in here except for us. You got this." he said, smiling.
I took a shaky breath. I was never a really good singer and I never sang for anyone.
