"Come on."
"Where are we going?"
"We're just gonna go on a drive."

I nodded, following him to his car.

"Ruel, where are we driving to?"
"We're just gonna drive and talk."
"Okay."

He didn't say anything, and I glanced at him.

"Ruel, are you okay?"
He just nodded.

He gripped both of his hands onto the steering wheel tightly.

"Baby, relax." I said.
He reached over to grab my hand, intertwining our fingers.

I looked outside at the sky.

"It's so pretty out."
"Mhm."

"Ruel, don't get lost, okay?"
"Okay, but I wouldn't mind getting lost."
"Why?"
"What's the difference?"
I looked over at him.

"What do you mean?"
"Nothing."
"Baby, you can tell me." I said, softly rubbing my thumb over his.

"Y/n?"
"Yes?"
"Aren't you afraid?"
"Of what?"

"Everything not happening."
"What?"
"What if I don't make it?"

"Is this about the record label?"
"Yeah." he whispered.
"Ruel, you are gonna make it. I believe in you. I'm trusting them."
"But what if I don't? I wasted so many years then."

"Don't think of it like that."

He slowed down and parked the car in an empty parking lot.

"If I don't make it, would you leave?" he asked, looking at me as if he was going to cry.
"Ruel, why would you say that? I would never leave you."

"But you wouldn't want a boyfriend who was nothing but a failure-"
"You're not a failure."
"But what if it doesn't happen? What if no one care about my music or what I have to say?"

"It's going to happen. Your voice is so amazing, baby, and I promise people will listen and support you."

"But what if-"
"Stopping thinking about the what ifs and just go for it."
"But that would mean I would have to go to London." he said.

"W-what?"
"I'm sorry, bubby, I didn't tell you but if I accept the record label I would have to go to London."
I let go of his hand and leaned back in my seat.

"Y/n, I'm so sorry. I didn't want to tell you-"
"Go for it, Ruel."
"W-what?"

"Accept the record label." I whispered, looking down at my hands in my lap.

"Wait, y/n, I can wait. I can wait for the next record label in Australia and-"
I shook my head. "I don't want to hold you back. Ruel, there's a record label waiting for you in London. Go for it. I know you're gonna make it and make me proud."
