When I woke up, Ruel wasn't beside me. I slowly got out of bed and walked into his bathroom to freshen up.

We've had various sleepovers in the past so I kept a toothbrush and some extra clothes in his room.

Once I finished, I went downstairs to see Ruel talking to Bella.

"Morning." he smiled at me.
I nodded, acknowledging him.

Did everything last night mean nothing to you?

"Hey, y/n." Bella smiled.
"Hi." I gave her a small smile.

She was so nice and although it annoys me that Ruel had her over, I had no right to be mad at her cause this is his house.

"Did you guys eat already?" I asked, grabbing a pan from the cupboards.

"I ate already, thank you. Um, I'm gonna leave now." Bella said.
"Bye." I turned around, smiling at her.

I saw Ruel rolls his eyes and walk her out.

"Wow, you have such good manners." he said sarcastically.

I ignored him.

"Y/n," he said, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Don't be mad at me."
"Ruel, do you want pancakes?"
"Yes please. But please don't be mad."

I didn't say anything back to him, causing him to release his hold on me.

"Y/n, we were just talking."
"Okay."

He sat down on the counter, watching me as I made pancakes.

"You know I really like you. I was just talking to her about how I didn't want to go on that date with her anymore."
"Really?" I asked, looking at him.
He nodded.

"Anyways, are you free today?"
I nodded.

"Good. After we eat, I want to take you somewhere."
"Where?"
"You'll see." he smiled.

We talked for a bit while I finished making the pancakes, giving him three.

He poured syrup on his plate and placed strawberries on top.

"Can I have a strawberry?"
"Of course." he said, cutting a few more strawberries and placing them on my plate.

Once we finished eating, he said, "Just wait until the car. I'm going to get some things cause I don't think we'll be home early. I'll get your bag as well."
I looked at him confused, but he gave me his keys and pushed me out of his house.

I unlocked his car and got in the passenger seat, waiting for him.

After a few minutes, I saw him walking out with a backpack that seemed to be filled and my bag.

"Here's your bag."
"Thanks."

He began to drive, but stopped by the local market.

"Um, y/n, I need to pick something up from the store, and then we can get going. It's gonna take a while to get there."
"Okay, that's fine."
I watched as he left the car.

I opened my bag and pulled out the envelope he gave me last night. I slowly peeled off the top but and pulled out a letter.

Okay I don't know when and even if I'm going to give this to you, but hopefully by now I told you everything? If not I give you permission to kick me. Just in case I didn't, I wanted to tell you that I genuinely love you. You've always been my best friend and you've always been my rock, y/n. I don't know what life would be like without you and I hope I never lose you. You mean the absolute world to me and don't think for a second that I wouldn't give up my life for you. You're everything to me. Every time I think of you I feel guilty because I know you don't feel the same way and I wish I could make you like me back. I told you I liked other people but in reality all I wanted to say was that you were always the one. You're on my mind constantly. I don't feel awkward around you or feel in any way uncomfortable. You're my other half and I know you know that I'm always here for you. I know sometimes I'm a pain and I'm not good with words, but every love song is about you. I showed you some of my songs and told you that it was my sister experiencing the love, but it was actually me. I meant every word I wrote and it was all for you. I don't know how I managed to keep you by my side, but you never left. You've seen me get made fun of for being so y'all, yet you always stood up for me, even when they were making fun of you for helping me. I've never felt this way before and it's honestly very confusing and stressful, but at the end of the day, it's all for you. I love you so so much and I'd do anything for you. Hopefully you're my girlfriend by the time you're reading this or you're gonna start laughing at me. Anyways, I love you loser. I always will <3

My eyes began to water and I fell even more in love with him.

"Hey-oh I see you've read it." Ruel said, coming into the car.
"Ruel, did you mean all this?"
"Of course. I still mean all of it."
I pulled him into a hug. I never wanted to let go of him.
