I could hear my heart beating when I was about to announce my last song.

"How are we feeling, Brisbane!" I yelled
They were screaming and I saw a few people starting to cry.

"So thank you for coming out tonight, this last song is from my new ep! It's called Hard Sometimes!"
As I began singing, everyone joined in and in that moment, I felt extremely lucky.

Halfway through the song, I could feel my chest getting tighter

"Oh I try to be happy, but it's hard sometimes."

In that moment I felt my eyes tearing up, but I tried to push away the feeling.

As I kept singing, the fans were beginning to see how upset I was and stopped singing, listening to me.

"Far away from all my friends, I just want that back again."

I couldn't do it anymore.

I stopped singing as the music kept playing. The world seemed to stop.

I couldn't breathe. Suddenly, I felt a pair of arms wrap around my frame. I couldn't tell who it was, but I hugged them tightly.

The room was silent.

"You're okay, breathe." I heard the voice whisper.

I quickly pulled away.

"Y/n." I said in disbelief.
"Surprise."

I pulled her back into a hug.

"I missed you so much."
"I missed you more, Ruel."

I felt her hand brush my hair.

"Finish the show. I'll be waiting for you."
I nodded, smiling.

When she walked off stage, I looked at the crowd.

"Um, I'm sorry about that, guys."

I heard a lot of people shout different things like, "Don't apologize! We love you!"

I smiled at them. "I love you all."
They screamed in response.

"Okay, let's try that again and not cry." I laughed.

Once I ended the show, I ran backstage.

"Y/n!" I yelled, hugging her again.

"Ruel, I just wanted to tell you that I'm so sorry that I haven't called much recently. Things just got a little hectic and I haven't had much free time, no pun intended by the way," she said, chuckling. "Anyways, I heard you were in town and wanted to surprise you."
"I'm just glad you're here." I smiled.

"You sounded amazing, by the way."
"Awe, thanks."

"So, what are your plans for the rest of the night?"
"I have to be back to the tour bus by midnight and then I'm leaving tomorrow." I sighed.
"Oh, well, do you want to go grab something to eat real quick and just catch up?"
"I'd love that."
She smiled, standing up and holding out her hand.
I stood up and grabbed a hold of her hand. We walked out of the venue and began walking around. It was really dark out, but the moon, stars, and street lights lit up the streets.

"No matter what, Ruel, you'll always mean so much to me and I'm always here for you, you know that right?"
"Yeah, it's just sometimes I feel like no one wants to hear what I have to say, ya know?"
"Yeah."

"Thanks for coming out tonight."
"Of course, I was so excited to see you."
I smiled, feeling happy.

She let go of my hand and hooked our pinkies together. We walked around, looking for somewhere to eat.

"I love you always, Ruel." she said.
"I love you always, y/n."

Free Time is so emotional and I feel so emotional. It's so pretty, yet so heartbreaking. You can hear the pain in his voice. It breaks my heart. He deserves the world. I love him so much and I wish I could give him a hug ):
