Grayson had never seen the mean side to Carter and that really hurt.

Did she not feel the same?

Was last night a mistake to her whilst it wasn't for me. For fuck's sake. I need to get her off my mind.

Carter was back in her room with Starkie. She regretted what she did to Grayson. That was mean. To the point where it wasn't even her. She likes him. Why would she do that?

She's fallen for Grayson that is 100 percent a fact. Maybe shes scared of getting hurt, but she just hurt Grayson.  How could she?

Carter took out her phone contemplating whether or not she should text him.

She had no idea what to write.
She felt so bad. The look of hurt was in his eyes. Pain almost. Guilt ran through her veins like some kinda guilt trip of shame.

Carter had an amazing idea, get him something. Okay, what does he want? An animal? He already has Gizmo its not like he can get a dog or cat.

Carter walked out of her house with Starkie on the lead. She will see what's in there.

This could be a sorry present. She really didn't know what got over her, she finally had the perfect guy. Then her idiot self does that. You should've just left him but naked in the bed.

Carter got in her car with Starkie in the passenger seat. It was about a 5-minute drive. Which wasn't bad at all

Whilst she was driving she had a phone call coming from her dad.

Carter remembers tomorrow is your first day at Johnson enterprises. Yes, you may be my daughter but i want you to come on time.

Oh hi dad, yeah im having a good day.  Uh, yh schools going good. Just driving to the pet shop right now.

Carter just listen. And hi baby

Hi dad, also yh it's already on my calendar i won't forget i promise.

Carter parked her car quickly getting out. She walked to the passenger door getting Starkie into her arms.

Is this pushing it too far?

Carter walked into the shop already looking around. She walked to the back of the shop where all the animals were.

"Do you need help with anything?"

"Um yes, my boyfriend has an allergy to fur and saliva. So basically any animal. I want to get him one but i dont know what to get"

The worker nodded understanding what was asked.

She took Carter over to the animals that had no fur.

"I would recommend a tortoise, turtle or a bearded dragon"

Carter nodded at the worker who was showing her the animals.

"So our bearded dragons are already having brought at the moment. You could buy one but it would take three months until it goes to yours. So then left is a tortoise or a turtle"

Carter nodded looking at the turtles. Would Grayson want a pet in a tank or a pet he could play with?

"Could i look at the tortoises"

The worker nodded.

"Um, can we just get another worker to take your beautiful dog at the front near the til. Just in case the dog goes for them"

Carter nodded as another worker came to her side kindly taking Starkie from her side.

"So we have both genders, you can choose none of them are related"

Carter nodded listening to her.

"So just take your pick. They each cost 10 pounds so whatever you want. Um if you do want more than one i do recommend having them even other than odd just so no one gets lonely"

Carter looked at all the tortoises six standing out the most. They all had redheads. Which was beautiful.

"Can i have a look at the six redhead ones the one's that have red stuff on their hands and legs"

The woman nodded picking one up and handing it to Carter. They were all baby size.

Carter was mentally in love.

"Can i have six of them?"

"Six? Wow sure of course"

"So a family like this costs all together 60 pounds"

Carter nodded at this and stood up placing back the tortoise.

The woman escorted carter to the front to pay. Carter paid on her credit card. This just proves how much she likes Grayson.

Whilst they were getting ready the tortoises Carter brought some food for them, also a massive home for them.

She put the stuff in the car in the trunk and walked back to the shop. She should probably tell Lisa what shes has done.

Future daughter😊: hiya Lisa, just a heads up. I wanted to do something special for Grayson. So i just brought 6 tortoises! I really hope you dont mind 🤣

Carter stood there at the front of the shop waiting for her new friends.

Momma Dolan: OH MY GOD OF COURSE! Can i come and pick them up with you x

How is she okay with that?!

FutureDaughter: yh im at the pet 5 minutes away from your house. That would be really helpful because i have Starkie with me. Xx

Momma Dolan: im on my way xx

Carter sat there and saw the woman with a cardboard box full of tortoises.
Carter looked down at them.

"Hi little guys, im gonna be your new momma. You have a dad by the way. He's not here right now.
Grandma Dolan is coming to see you and help us take you home. So happy moving day! Yay. Welcome to the Dolan family.
Your dad is mad at me because im a meanie so hopefully, you can help him forgive me with your cute charms. Also, Starkie is your big dog...brother? Don't be scared" 

Carter thanked the woman and walked back to her car. She opened the door which was so hard. Stark jumped in and Carter sat in the front looking at the tortoises.

"Oh my you weren't joking"
