Two weeks later

Being in a fake relationship gives time for each other. More time than in a real relationship. Having to get to know each other. Knowing each other in a personal way. Or just random facts that not many people would ask.

Like Carter feels like bottle and jar mayonnaise are completely different and taste different. Bottle mayo is used for fries. The jar mayo is used for sandwiches. Which Grayson thinks is completely bazaar but doesn't question it.

Or how Grayson's favourite animal is a moth. Or his favourite holiday is Halloween when most people's favourite holiday is Christmas.

They know everything about each other. Not everything but most are uncovered.

Carter still doesn't remember the hot make out she had with Grayson, and Grayson hasn't told her. I dont think he ever will.

"Just vanilla, please"

Carter gives the man some money and awaits her ice cream. She turns around seeing her family all smiling.

"You're so boring CJ"

She laughs looking at the kid's ice cream. Bubble gum, mint the list goes on, and she went with all plain vanilla. The man gives her the ice cream and she gladly thanks him.

The family starts walking towards the sunset to watch. It was about 8 and the sun was about to set.

Carter held Kenzo in her arms whilst they are ice cream. Her mom stood beside her whilst the kids were infront.

"So you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend. I was quite embarrassed at the game"

Her mom nudged her in the arm. Carter shook her head licking her ice cream.

"I'm sorry mom, he wasn't supposed to introduce himself. I even told him but he didn't listen. We are particularly serious anyway"

Her mom bit her lip. She was sad that they didn't have a proper introduction because it's Carter's first boyfriend.

"I've seen yours and his Instagram always posting about each other. I think he's more into the relationship thank you, and he's the man"

Carter put Kenzo down so he could go and play with the kids.

"Are you stalking us, mom?"

"I'm just making sure he is a nice lad and won't break your heart. I see all the comments girls write on his posts"

Carter chuckles eating the cone on the ice cream. Looking at her mom.

"I miss you"

Carter hugs her mom. Being in a house by herself is hard no one to talk to except Starkie like yh he's a dog but he doesn't answer back.

"I miss you too"

Her mom says hugging her back.
She kisses Carter's head caressing her.

"God I've missed your eyes so much"

Carter's mom kisses her all around her head making Carter laugh.

"Why don't I host a BBQ on the weekend and tell your love a boy to invite his whole family. So we could meet them and get to know each other"

"I dont think he will like that"

Carter says walking along to the ocean. She was nervous about this.
Meeting his family? That is not a good thing. I can't lie to my family.
