Third-person
You would think that heartbreak never exists. Its actually not real pain. Though Carter knew how she was feeling in this moment. It most definitely was heartbreak.
She grabbed her phone from the table, tears breaking down her cheek like it was some kind of race.
She searched up the earliest plane she could, somewhere nice and far away from here. She booked a plane to Hawaii. God. She's really doing this. It's in 2 hours.
This was the plan, and she's sticking to it. if he didn't want anything to do with the baby then going as far away from as possible will be the easiest thing. Even though the baby will be a huge reminder of him, she still had to go for her and the baby's sake.
Carter walked into her room chucking Ethan his phone, he stood outside of the door. He gave a sympathetic turtle man face. He was so disappointed with his brother. He doesn't even want to have anything to do with him. How could he do this?
Carter walked straight to her room.
She was determined to leave as soon as possible so her mind wouldn't change. She had to more quickly too just in case anyone comes in.
Her footsteps leading to her closet where she packed a suitcase just in case. It was full of clothing, clothing that she liked but she could always but clothing there."Can you drive me?"
Ethan walked up to her and hugged her, his heart broke for the girl. Her whole life has been torn in half. He nodded slightly at her request.
"Of course I will"
She put on some sliders not really caring about her appearance. I mean who would when your heart is broken?
"I'm taking Starkie"
Ethan nods completely understanding. Carter went under her bed picking up the letter she wrote for Grayson before he knew about the pregnancy. Before she knew his answer. But no matter what she still wouldn't change what she wrote.
She places it neatly on her bed, completely standing out on the orange duvet. The neatly handwritten name 'Grayson Dolan' writing perfectly and boldly in the middle.
She grabbed the passport that was in her nightstand and kissed it in hope.
"I can't forget you, you're my ticket out of here"
Whilst she was doing this Ethan picked up the hand cage for Starkie to be in.
It was weird making such a quick decision.
She'll probably regret it later on but at this moment it's the right thing to do.
"Starkie is already, are you going to tell your mom?"
Carter turns around looking at him.
"Whatever you do, don't tell anyone what I'm doing because they will try and talk me out of it. I will text her when I'm on the plane. I need to get going."
Ethan nodded taking her suitcase and Starkie walking down the stairs. This was the last time she would be in this room. Goodbye memories. Goodbye childhood. All because of the one she loved. It should be him moving away but instead, she's taken the risk.
Carter grabbed the photo frame holding it in her arms, goodbye.
She follows Ethan slowly down the stairs, she doesn't want to leave. Her heart doesn't want to leave, yet her mind does.
Tears slipped from Carter's eyes, this was it. She opened the door letting Ethan go first who quickly rushed to out the suitcase in the back so no one saw. Carter walked backwards away from the three houses that meant a lot. His house, her parent's house, their house.
