The tape

Carter sat in the picture room looking at all the photos her and Grayson had taken over the past year. It's crazy how things change.

She was in there savouring all the memories or it was going to be the beginning of new ones.

She sat in the middle of the room on the armchair. Remembering everything that happened in the photos. She hoped that he wanted to be apart of this new life but she wouldn't blame him if he didn't. 

She heard the front door open, this is it the fate of a lifetime. The footsteps were slow up to the stairs.

"Carter?"

Ethan's voice called out trying to look for the brunette.

"I'm in the photo room"

The door creaked and a messy-haired Ethan walked through and sat on the arm of the chair, he looked almost torn down. She already knew the answer before he even walked through the door. I guess he doesn't want to be apart of the baby's life.

He grabbed her hand in a sign of sympathy and regret of not wanting to do the thing he had to. Tell the girls life isn't going to plan as she wanted it to.

He took his phone out of his hand and gave it to her.

"Go on voice recordings. You will hear everything he said."

He walked out of the room almost depressed, her heart slowly breaking.

She saw the lock screen of Bella and Ethan, how she envies them.

She opened the app up seeing a recent recording that was taken half an hour ago. 4:15. She took her earphones out of her pocket and plugged them into his phone. Ready to hear the news she dreaded.

Grayson you're gonna have to sit down for this.

Aha wow very serious you are.
I just got back from the gym so I'll gladly sit down. My feet feel like jelly.

*A pause was set on the tape, no one was talking.*

She can't be pregnant! This will ruin everything. I mean everything. Fuck why do I mess everything up!

But she's not some girl though, is she! She's the most important girl in your life. She's done so much and for you to treat her like this. She deserves better, she loves you so much. Well, guess what I don't wanna see her or that baby. I don't give two shits. She can give it up for adoption for all I care because, in reality, I should've never stooped in that low level of a girl. My ex is better.
