The Dead Flower

Chapter Five

As we head home, at least I will be okay.Thats what am telling myself but I have a gut feeling something is gonna happen. This is cause I sense that all the three people in the car have been staring at me. One we reach home  I run to my room to at least have some work done. Yeah our teachers think a day without homework isn't a proper day... And they suck.

After about an hour someone knocks on my door and I just shout a come in not looking away from my homework .What I hear next I wish I could've at least not said come in.

"Flower ..."

Let's just say I recognized the voice without looking up. That's when all the anger I had always tried to forget cane back.

"Don't you dare flower me here. I am Carrie to you. What are you doing in my room. My house. "

"Carrie Amanda Andersen and don't you dare raise your voice at me am still your mother and this is my house as I remember. "

"My mother my ass.To me she died the day she decided to do away with me. As you see I am trying  to get work done here. Shut the door after you  as you leave. Nice seeing you again Mandy. " with that I walked to my bathroom not waiting for her reply.

Don't get me wrong am not rude but I had to be what I knew was my dark side. I tried so hard not to cry in my bathroom but it was impossible. Twice someone came knocking on my door but I didn't open I just sent them away. That's when I remembered that day very well

"Flower we have to talk. Me and your dad have an important thing we have to pass to you and your sister. "

"Coming gimme a minute to get her. "

"karinah mum needs to talk to us. Do you have a clue of what it's about. "

"Nope. I don't but I think its about what she has been talking to Kate about. I think so. Let's get going. "

Yeah we were living in a mansion. My dad had an office at home as well as mum. They were fucking rich. All the bedrooms were in the second floor while our parents room was on the first. Where also their offices were. Guest rooms were on the ground floor cause we hated our privacy being interrupted.

"My two flowers you look beautiful. "

That's what welcomes us in dads office. Our parents call us flower because they are say we are always beautiful, shining and also jovial all the time.

"Dad what did you two want to talk to us about. "
"Ok.." thats how his expression turned to serious ."Me and your mom think it's time you two joined the business. And Carrie I heard you told Kate that you didn't want to join. Can you explain why? "

"Its because I have other career choices that are not related to our family business. Also I think after am eighteen I will have decided. " I tell them feelings happy of expressing my point. What I see on their faces is disgust and dissapointed.

"Karina what of you? "

"I'm in cause I love it. "

"Good girl for making the best decision honey. You will do what we decide for you Carrie we don't care of your other career. We are family and you will do this to help the family raise money. "

"But daddy... "

I'm cut off when dad does what I never thought I will ever see him do. HE SLAPPED ME.

"Listen here Carrie Amanda as long as you live in my roof you are going to do what I say. As you see all your sisters and brothers have all joined the business. You being the bitch you are decided to be childish....before I loose it again get out of my office. "

I ran to my room crying and asking what I had done wrong. I had just decided to defend myself. A while later mum stormed in and what she said broke my heart more.

"You are just useless.  You cannot even try to be beautiful you are just an ugly girl who happened to be born from this family. Can't you see you don't even want to put our Reputation up by at least accepting that offer. You are a failure Carrie you will never ever make it. I'm ashamed you are my daughter and that's why I don't love you that's why none of your siblings want to be with you except your brother cause he pitys  you brat. "

All she said was true. My brother Kim was my best friend and was always with me surpoting every decision I made. Kate my first born sister never talked to me once I told her I didn't want to join our business. My other two sisters who were also twins Melanie and Marie never spared me even a glance. Koll,my other brother also didn't want anything to say to me. Karina was just Karina. All this had happened in a spin of a month when I decided to open my mouth to Kate.

I dry my tears as I plan on my next move which is to sneak out and eat. I didn't want to be with anyone .
