The Dead Flower

Chapter Sixteen

Kane POV
As I look at Amanda, I see her confused face as she looks at Taylor's grave.

"Why did you bring me here.? "she asks.

"I just wanted you to meet my other half. "

"Oh. I didn't know you had a twin. How did she die?"she asks. "If you don't want to say.. "

"She died from leukemia. It was noticed at a very late stage. "

"Tell me about her. "Amanda says

"She was the most beautiful girl I knew. She had blue eyes just like mine. She was so sweet and kind but at the same time she had an attitude just like yours. She was mine and Danielles best friend. She thought of everyone else before herself. I loved her. "

"One day while we were walking I'm a park the three of us, she fell down fainted. We were shocked coz it was her first time to faint since we were kids. I carried her down to a shed as we called my mom. Mom was out of the country by then. She told us to wait for a few minutes if she's not awake by then we take her to a hospital. After about five minutes she woke up looking like her usual self. "

"After about a month she started nose bleeding frequently and also fainting. She became paler than usual. After mom knew about that, she cut her business trip short and came home. Taylor was taken to a hospital where after few tests, it was confirmed she needed blood. The transfusion was a success. We we happy that she was back to normal.

A week later, in her bedroom, she started nose bleeding and it was at night. She managed to come out of her room only to faint at my rooms doorstep. That night, it was the night where it was declared she had blood cancer. Mom could not believe it at first. She thought there was treatment but too bad the cancer was in its worst stage. It was later confirmed that she had less than a month before her heart could stop working.She died three days later. That's when I was broken. It all happened two years ago. "I didn't know I was crying until Amanda wiped a tear from my face.

"Kane don't worry I'm here for you cry it all you want. To release the tension. "Amanda said to me as I cried on her shoulder.

"Do you remember the day I spilled all my coffee all over you? "I ask her

"Yeah I do. "

"It was a memorial of the day she died. I was just confused."

"I didn't know. "

We stayed silent for about twenty minutes until she spoke.

"Did you know who I was that day "

"Somehow. You looked familiar but I didn't grasp where I had seen you. That is until I arrived home and met Andrea there. Why weren't you there? "

She hesitates first "I didn't feel like it. "I sense that she wants to say more but she's hesitates living it .

"It's already six let's head home. "

"Kane I will tell you one of this days. I trust you. "she says which makes me smile at her.

"I know that princess. I also trust you. " I tell her remembering what I had seen earlier. "Also thank you. "She just nods as we continue to walk.

Her phone rings but she ignores it. I stare at her and she notices. "It's just Kim trying to call me. But I don't feel like talking to him. "I just nod at her understanding her.

We make jokes all the way as we head home. I just hate to see her sad and crying. I just want to punch the person who slapped her.

"Princess take care. I will call you later and don't be too sad. "

"I cant promise that but I will try. Don't miss me too much and am waiting for your call. "She tells me as she hugs me.

As I look at her I notice her sad face is back as she stares at her house.

"You know you can come with me if you want. You can come back at yours later. "I tell her

"I wish I could come but I just can't. Shoo get out "she says the last part teasingly .

"Whatever princess ."I tell her as I get out of her car .

I watch as she drives her car to her house and stays about two minutes before getting out of her car. That's what becomes my cue to also enter in my house. Where am met by a worried Sophie and a fuming Danielle all of them asking me if Amanda was okay .

"Guys cool down your horses. She isn't okay. It's something to do with her family. "

"That's also what Andrea told me. Also that Amanda isn't talking to anyone else at home at the moment. She also told me that she's going through alot now. "

With that new found information, I head to my room waiting to call Amanda later on. All I know is that am sad when I see her sad. She happens to be my princess.
