The Dead Flower

Chapter Seventeen

The week went by without any major drama. Today is my birthday and guess what my parents are throwing a party for us. The whole week I have been giving everyone silent treatment. The only person I talked to freely was Kane. Kim and Karina tried to talk to me but I shut them completely.

Here I am putting on a purple dress that mom dropped in my room earlier. Mum had a makeup artist to do their makeup because I declined her offer on makeup. I decided to match them with my nude six inch heels. I was ready by five and had an hour before the party begun. With that in mind, I text Kane.

Me:Tye  bored
TyTy:Can I come over already am already done
Me :nope don't.
Tyty:Im hurt princess you hurt my feelings there

With that we continue chatting and talking about randomn things.

"The party is about to begin you are needed downstairs. "Koll interrupts me,makimg me drop my smile.

I nod at him to show that I heard so that he can already leave. I text a quick text to Kane telling him I'll see him in a bit. Looking up, Koll is still at the doorway looking at me. I groan as I head to the door waiting for him to move.

"Carrie I wanted to,,, "I cut him off by raising my hand up for him to stop
which he obeys.

"I want to pass, can you excuse me "I tell him politely which he does.

As I head downstairs I notice that most of the guests have arrived. Most are dressed in suits which makes me to think of it as another business meeting. Looking around, I spot Karina in a purple dress which looks like mine. The only difference today is that she has no make up on. She has her hair in a ponytail just like mine. She had also put on six inch heels which were black she looked beautiful. Without thinking twice I head to her direction.

"Happy birthday Twinnie. "I tell her calmly.She looks at me as in surprise. A smile tugs at her once frowning self.

"Happy birthday too. You look beautiful "she says back.

"You too. "I knew from the start I will never stay mad long enough at her .Studying her closely I noted that she had bags under her eyes. She's either not been sleeping lately or crying.

The party continued as people begun passing and giving us presents and also complements of our beauty. So far, none of my other siblings had come around which I was grateful about.

"Evening all, "Someone interrupts my thoughts as they speak which I note is my father. "Today is a pleasure for my family to be celebrating lifes today .Ladies and gentlemen thank you all for coming today and making this a special occasion for my children. You may see the birthday girls are over there. "Everyone in the room turns to us. "They're Karina and Carrie.Happy birthday to them. Enjoy the party. "After his little speech, the party went on well. After sometime when I needed air, I decided to go to my rooms balcony.

"Princess hey, "A voice said behind me making me startled.

"You almost gave me a heart attack. "I told him.

"You look beautiful today princess and happy birthday. "

"You don't look bad yourself. "

He retrieves a small package and hands it over.

"Open it's yours. "I open it and come across a very beautiful bracelet "Thank you so much it's beautiful. He smiles at me making me smile back at him.

We sit there talking about nothings until we're interrupted by Koll again.

He hands me a package. I'm about to deny it but I'm against it.

"I think I should leave you two alone.. "Kane says as he stands up

"No need to I was already leaving. Happy birthday Little sis I'm sorry.Im ready to do anything to gain back the trust you had for me. "Koll says with a sad look on his face. I only shrug "Okay goodnight all of you. I'm sorry again Carrie. "With that, he strolls outside my room.

"You okay there princess.? "

"I don't know but I will be okay. "

The party is already done as we head downstairs only to be given more gifts. Sophie had gotten me earrings, Danielle got me a pair of flats, Kate got me a pair of shoes also. Melanie and Marie each got me a dress. Koll had gotten me a pair of purple flats and also a set of earrings. Kim got me a new phone and a neclase. Karina got me a set of t shirts and trousers while I got her a dress.

Mom got me a full makeup kit. While dad gave the both of us a ticket to Miami for a week. Later on, Maddie came into the room with a cat and gave me as a present which I was more than glad.

As I was in bed, I thought about how Koll was behaving and also about what he said today. I was still not talking to them properly. I only talked to Karina. Reid and Nathan were not around since Reids dad had an important meeting with the two.

I enjoyed Kane's presence more.
