2 years later

It's been two years since Shawn and I reunited that day in the hospital, and ever since then, we've stuck together like glue. We got a house together, moved to a more secluded neighbourhood where we could finally be ourselves, Shawn and his crew continued their business, but thankfully, whoever Oliver was working with, has taken the hint and backed off. We've been living a life of happiness and love and I couldn't be more thankful to have such an amazing man by my side.

And what about my parents you're probably wondering? We made amends. And I know, I know, risky business but I made sure to tell them how I make my own choices, I choose who I will and won't be with, and reminded them just how in love with Shawn I truly am. They promised to support me, despite the fact they abandoned me for basically my whole entire life and they owe me this. My life is perfect. I have an amazing boyfriend who loves and cares for me, I have amazing best friends who also love and care for me and my well being, as much as my parents hurt me, they made up for it, oh, and I also have a one and a half year old brother who's the most adorable little guy ever, sorry Shawn. I couldn't be happier, my life really took a turn for the better. I've completely lost touch from my old school and the people in it. Dylan. Grace. Everyone. I'm finally free. I deserve happiness, and I've finally found it, with the love of my life.

"Melody!" Shawn called from downstairs, "We have to go, the car's waiting!"

"Coming, I'm just strapping on my shoes!" I shouted back, Shawn is taking me out for dinner to somewhere fancy, so I made sure to look my absolute best. I slipped on a slim, black, lace dress to show off my curves, and paired them with a pair of black heels. I applied a full face of natural makeup along with some small hoop earrings and a ring to complete the look. The dress was gifted to me by Shawn as he insisted I couldn't wear anything else, strange but I have to say, he has good taste. Grabbing my clutch bag, I chucked my phone and some gum in it before walking downstairs.

Shawn was waiting at the bottom in a maroon and black suit with the top of his black shirt unbuttoned. His hair was perfectly done with a small curl hanging on his forehead, his signature look. I am so lucky.

"You look incredible." He smiled as he took my hand, helping me down the last few steps, "Beautiful is an understatement." Blushing, I gave him a blissful kiss and placed my forehead onto his.

"Thank you, you look very handsome, you brush up well." I smiled, giving him another quick peck before pulling away and heading for the door

"Where do you think you're going?" Grabbing my hand, he pulled me back into another passionate kiss, my hands on his cheeks as he wrapped his arms around my waist. Pulling away, out of breath, he looked at me with lust in his eyes, "Shall we just stay here instead?" He smirked

Pushing him away with a smile, I shook my head, "No can do, Mr. Mendes, we have a reservation!"

"The restaurant's not going anywhere," he pleaded

"That may be so, but I am hungry. We have the rest of the night, Shawn. You never know, you might get lucky." I laughed. Standing up straight, a smile appeared on his face like magic as he took my hand.

"Right, well, no time to waste, let's go, cars open." He rushed, grabbing the keys from the hall table and opening the door for me. "After you, m'lady." He bowed

"Thank you, kind sir, what a gentleman." Stepping outside, I made my way to the passenger side of the car, but before I could open it, Shawn was there in a split second opening it for me, laughing I looked at him with a smile, "What are you doing? Did you even lock the door?"
