"This is a beautiful place, but it must have been so damn expensive to rent out Shawn!" I gaped at the historic castle I front of me. It was decorated with lights and rose petals were scattered at the entrance
"A beautiful place for a beautiful girl," he chuffed, ignoring my comment and opening the door for me, "Milady," he bowed, causing me to giggle slightly at his properness
"Thank you kind Sir," i played along
"This way," he smiled and grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers and pulling me through the arch way
"Are we allowed to be here?" i chuckled as the castle was bare of any other human life than our own
"Yes, now come," he pressed
"okay, okay," i gave up and followed him into the main room, a large ballroom was lit up with bright lights, chandeliers were hanging from the beautifully painted ceiling while the floor was carved with carefully polished glass, it was breathtaking. In the middle of the room there was a table, fit for two, it had a gold candlestick placed in the middle with a vase of a single rose beside it. The tablecloth was silk and golden, making the expensive tastes linger, and our cutlery was perfectly set out parallel as the two chairs faced each other.
"You did this?" i asked taken aback, he really went all out on this one
"Indeed i did, well i had a little help, i guess you could say Ian owed me," he winked and led me over to the table. Pulling the chair back for me, i sat down and he went to his side and did the same.
"Where's the food? i'm starving," i sighed causing shawn to laugh loudly at me
"what?" i asked confused
"We sit down at our table in one of the most glamorous castles ever and the first thing you ask me is 'where's the food?'," he blurted continuing to laugh
"Excuse me, but i'm hungry," i laughed
"I can see that," he smiled, slightly causing me to feel a bit self conscious as my weight was always an insecurity i struggled with. Shrugging it off i smiled back, getting lost in his beautiful brown eyes
"You look perfect tonight," he stated out of the blue, blushing slightly i tucked a bit of my hair behind my ear and looked down
"Thank you, Amy and Elliot did a great job," i smiled up at him
"They certainly did, but you look perfect every day, not just tonight," he held my hand in his and rubbed it slightly with his thumb
"Thank you," i blushed again, looking down to stop him from seeing
"Don't look down, i love seeing you blush, you look adorable," he smiled, "I want to see your face from every angle,"
"It's only good from the right side, the left side looks weird in selfies," i confessed
"I'm not talking about selfies Melody," he stated softly
"Thank you Shawn," i smiled at him
"I love your smile, have i ever told you that before?"
"i don't think so," i shrugged
"Really? Wow. I didn't think i could become any more of an idiot," he laughed, "Well, I love your smile."
"You told me, Mendes," i chuckled playing with his fingers
"But i mean it, i could say it over and over again and each time i'd mean it more than i did before," he smiled
"What's with all these compliments, did you do something wrong?"
"Nope, at least i don't think so, i'm with the girl i love in one of the most beautiful places i've ever been, so right now, is say everything's just about right," he smiled and leaned over the table
