1 day before wedding day

Kayla's P.O.V

After picking up my stuff from home, we spent a couple hours on the road, driving towards the hotel.

The car was mostly quiet with the exception of Tame Impala softly playing in the background.

Ethan held one of my hands in his while his other hand was secured on the wheel.

It was a comforting atmosphere and I didn't mind the silence between us.

I learned to appreciate it.

Just being next to him makes me feel content. I didn't think a person would ever make me this happy really.

"We're here!" I exclaimed once we turned into the parking lot.

"Someone's excited." Ethan teased.

"Someone is too." I smirked while he parked the car.

"Maybe." he lightly chuckled before turning the car off and opening his door.

He let's go of my hand and rushes out his door to go around and open mine.

"Such a gentleman" I laughed causing a smile to form on his lips.

He didn't reply but continued to have that cheeky smile on his face.

Ethan took our bags out of the car and didn't allow me to help him as we walked over to the lobby.

"Seriously I'll carry my bag babe," I begged over and over again hoping he will let me help him.

"We're almost there." he repeated.

I knew my bags were heavy considering I brought everything I needed to get ready plus some extra stuff since my family decided to stay an extra day after the wedding to relax.

"Kayla, you're finally here sweetie." My mother walked over to us with a hotel room key in hand.

"Sorry we're late Mrs.Jones." Ethan apologized as he set the bags down.

"I told you to stop referring to me as Mrs. Jones dear," my mom smiled."Anywho, here's your room key Kayla. I gave Noah your room key Ethan since he was got here before you."

"Did Roni get here already?" I asked.

"Yeah she got here a few hours ago." My mom assured me. "I should get going, but we'll meet you two down here for dinner kids."

"Bye mom." I waved as she headed out the lobby.

"I honestly thought she would give us a room together you know." Ethan chuckled.

I turned over to glare at him and couldn't help but smile.

"Seriously," I shook my head. "We'll probably get to share a room tommorow for sure. I just need to talk to Roni."

"Why not talk to her today?" He took a step forward taking one of my hands to intertwine it with his.

"Because," I spoke slowly wrapping my hands around his neck. "My mom wanted to have a girls night and I know for a fact she is going to be watching us closely today."

"Hmm. I wonder why,"
