Third P.O.V
After that day, Ethan kept his distance. Although it pained him to do so.
He fought himself over and over again and thought of the different things that could of gone differently. What if he had said something sooner? What if he had just not gone at all?
All these scenarios kept his mind busy through the three weeks before graduation. He was losing sleep and wasn't even socializing as much anymore.
He was stuck in his room besides the few times she had come in contact with Lucy and her parents and his parents.
The decision was made. Ethan would be keeping the baby once it was born in a few weeks.
Lucy would be leaving and would remain in touch. She wasn't really going to be a mother to the baby but more of a cool aunt per say.
After speaking to Lucy herself, Kayla agreed to help out with the baby. She would help babysit and assist in anyway she could without Ethan knowing.
Lucy and Kayla patched up their relationship after Kayla realized Lucy did not know of Ethan and their relationship.
In those few weeks before graduation, Kayla accompanied Mason to his prom and got herself a job at the coffee shop.
Their friendship continued to bloom and although she didn't tell him the reason behind the break up, they continued to be open up to one another.
It was something Kayla needed.
Roni and Noah eventually got back together again after Kayla told Roni that Noah was right about not telling her anything since it wasn't his secret to share.
It took a bit of convincing but Roni talked it out with him and well they are okay for now.
After months of hard work and drama, it was finally graduation day.
Everyone was ecstatic.
The ceremony was held outside and the weather was pleasant to say the least.
Once the ceremony began and the students had sat down in their respective seats, the long speeches began.
Every now and then Ethan looked over to where Kayla sat and admired her beauty from afar.
Kayla too looked over every other time and did the same thing.
Both of them, even if they didn't want to admit, wanted what they once had.
The cute dates. The long conversations. The love and affection they provided one another.
After the speeches, the principal began calling each student up to receive their diploma.
Both of the attentively watched one another walk across the stage causing light smiles to form on their lips.
Once the ceremony was over, their respective families crowded them and begged them to take millions of pictures trying out different combinations and poses.
