[(Y/N) 's POV]

As soon as I got out of the building, I saw my squad joking around while they waited for me.

"Goodmorning guys."

"Goodmorning Captain!"

Their smiles and cheerful expressions lightened my mood.

"Let's start by doing 20 laps."

As they were running, I looked over my shoulder and towards Levi's office. The window was open, meaning that he was inside.

[Levi's POV]

Today is just as stressful as any other day. As soon as I finished talking to Erwin about the big expedition, I took out the map and held it tightly in my hands, hoping that I would think of a better plan than the one that I already had, but my focus got soon distracted by some gentle knocks on my door.

"Name and business."

"It's (y/n), can I come in?"

"Yeah."

(y/n) and I have been in a relationship for a year now. I haven't had the time to talk to her properly for the past month, due to the preparations for the big expedition. The said expedition is very important and it needs to be well-planned, meaning that I can't just slack off. Not even for a minute.

[(y/n)'s POV]

I could hear his sigh before I even entered the office.

"How are you feeling?"

"Very tired and stressed over the expedition." he sighed again as he rested his chin on the top of his palm.

Figured.

"Levi, you've been working a lot nowadays. You should take a break and sleep, or at least rest for a while! I'm sure Erwin wouldn't mind." I said as I approached him.

I tried to comfort him by wrapping my arms around his shoulders, but he pushed them away softly.

"It's easy for you to say."

I couldn't help but frown at his words.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"All you do is joke around with your squad, train the new cadets-"

"Did you seriously just say that? Do you even know how hard it is to train 104 cadets daily? Wishing for them to exceed so that they don't die during the expeditions? Plus doing paperwork continuously on top of trying to think of a decent plan so that my squad is well prepared? Do you call all that joking around?"

"Please." he scoffed.

"Watch it." I said as I pointed my finger towards his irritated face. "I may not be on the same level as you, but I still know what disappointing people feels like. And in case you forgot, I was here before you, so I won't tolerate you judging me of all people."

He scanned my face in silence for a while before opening the map again.

"Well, if you're done talking please leave me alone. I have more important things to do."

"Of course, at least I'm not the one acting like an asshole here." I scoffed, turning my back on him.

"(y/n)!"

I winced at the raise of his voice. But I didn't say anything, I just walked outside after slamming the door shut.
