And just like that, our journey was finally over. I lost everything. My best friend. My happiness. My strength. But at least I had him by my side..

"(y/n).."

Hange hugged me tightly.

"Everything alright?" I chuckled, wrapping my arms around her equally as tight.

"Yes, don't worry." she said before cupping my cheeks. "I love you so much."

"Hange what happened to you all of a sudden? Is everything alright?"

Her eyes left mine seconds after they met. She turned her back on me and raised her hands up in the air, laughing loudly at the sky. I smiled softly thinking that that's the same old Hange.

"I love you too." I told her, loud enough for only her to hear.

Her hands dropped to her sides and she threw me a sideways look, a small smile forming on her face.

I had to go. People needed my help. I would meet everyone later on anyway.

After what felt like forever I made my way back to the flying boat. I sighed and rubbed my eyes, feeling exhausted.

Having to look after Levi, helping Hange with important work after Erwin left us. It was getting impossible for me to keep up but I knew better than to just give up.

"Hey guys." I murmured, stretching my hands backwards after taking off my maneuver gear.

Everyone remained silent.

I ignored them, thinking that they were probably tired as well. Looking around, I noticed that someone was missing.

"Wait, don't go! Hange isn't here!"

Everyone looked away from me, their eyes locked elsewhere, desperately trying not to meet mine as the flying boat took off.

"Where is Hange?"

I pushed everyone out of the way, ignoring them trying to convince me otherwise.

My eyes widened. My heart dropped.

It only took a couple of colossals before I saw my best friend getting burned alive right before my eyes.

"No.. get the hell away from me!" I screamed.

I pushed everyone out of the way, trying to reach for my maneuver gear. My desperate attempts were all a complete failure as my hands were trembling so much I couldn't even focus on them.

"Hange?!" I shouted, hoping that she would appear in front of me and hug me.

"H-Hange?!" I shouted again, hoping to hear her voice. That annoying voice that never failed to soothe my worries.

"Please don't leave me!"

Screams filled the flying boat. I fell on my knees and hugged myself, crying harder than ever. Levi sat beside me and put his hand on my shoulder only for me to push him away.
