Chapter 7 - home early

It was morning, everyone were at the table eating their breakfast, just as everyone had finished they were caught by surprise Bulma and ChiChi walking in.
"Mom!" Trunks ran to his mum to hug her as Goten ran to His.

Goku and Vegeta looked at each other then quickly looked away.
"Hey guys, what brings you back so early?" Goku asked
Bulma looked at ChiChi then looked back at Goku.
"Well, ChiChi has agreed to have trunks over night giving me time to spend with Vegeta"
Vegeta looked in shock
Goku looked at them both, feeling the awkward between them "Uh that's cool, I'll go help the boys" as he ushered the boys out the way.
Trunks and Goten quickly rushed to get their things, whilst Goku went to help them.
Vegeta crossed his arms looking at Bulma as ChiChi, goku and the boys start heading off.
"Oh, thanks again ChiChi" Bulma smiled and waved
"I didn't expect you to come back so early" vegeta grunted
"Yeah well, we can't keep running away from our problems Vegeta!"
Vegeta lifted Bulma up carrying her into their room, he lays her down the bed and starts to kiss her. Bulma kissed back as she starts to unbutton his shirt, as they continued kissing Bulma reached down to grab Vegeta between his legs. He jumps back, Bulma sits up confused.
"Well, what's that all about?!" She questioned in frustration
Vegeta shook his head in frustration with himself, he went back to kissing Bulma helping her strip gently caressing her body, he was struggling to enjoy it he stopped mid kiss. Bulma looked and could see he wasn't enjoying it. Bulma sighed and sat up.
"There's something I need to tell you"
Vegeta looked in panic, does she know?
"I've been sleeping with someone behind your back" Bulma looked down in guilt.
Vegeta couldn't help but burst out laughing, Bulma looked at vegeta really confused.
"I'm having a serious conversation with you here!"
Vegeta managed to stop himself from laughing, he felt sort of relieved too, knowing it wasn't just him cheating.
"Sorry, I didn't think ChiChi was your type" he chuckled whilst crossing his arms
"What?!...no!"
Vegeta's eyes widened
"Then with who woman?!"
"My...ex"
Vegeta got up and looked at Bulma who looked upset and guilty. He couldn't even get mad, because he was just as bad.
"Maybe we should go on a break whilst I sort out what is best for us both?" Bulma suggested as she tidied herself up
Vegeta nodded in agreement, he needed to sort out his own feelings.

Time skip
Its night time and Vegeta is stood over the balcony looking up at the stars. Bulma is asleep in bed, Vegeta's mind racing through thoughts over the past couple of days. He closed his eyes and sighed trying to clear his mind till he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder, he turned to see it was Goku.
"What do you want?!" Vegeta scoffed
"I sensed the atmosphere from you both earlier, I came to see if you are alright, I couldn't help but notice you were stood out here as I was out clearing my mind"
Vegeta crossed arms looking up at the sky.
"We are taking a break"
"Oh really? Where you guys going?" Goku asked in excitement
Vegeta gripped bridge of his nose "No! Not like that damn it! We are not together as we sort stuff out. Turns out she's been sleeping with Yamcha behind my back"
"Wow, I'm sorry"
"Pfft, don't be sorry I think I'm losing feelings for her anyway" vegeta sighed
"You know there's other way to clear your mind" Goku suggested.
Vegeta looked at Goku intrigued with what he may suggest.
"Do tell me Kakarot what you think would help clear my mind now that isn't food related" he smirked
Goku smirked back
Vegeta's smirk went, he knew exactly what Goku was thinking the little deviant.
"Look, I don't know what feelings I have right now" vegeta looked back at goku
"Well maybe we should find out.." goku held Vegeta's hand and transported them by a clear lake.
"Kakarot?"
Goku smirked back at the confused looking prince. It was tranquil, out in the wilderness with the moonlight as natural lighting reflecting on the beautiful clear lake. The pair looked at each other as they embraced the outdoors around them. Vegeta wasn't sure what Gokus plans were exactly, he had rough idea though and he grinned.
