Chapter 15 - new challenges

After playing outside, they all sat round the table eating food before Trunks and Goten headed off to bed. Bulma headed to her lab whilst Yamcha watched some tv. Vegeta headed to his bed without saying a word, Goku followed him.
"Before you ask...I'm fine!" Vegeta snapped as he got into bed.
"I'm not convinced" Goku said worryingly as he rubbed Vegeta's back, vegeta shook him off. "Is it because the kids won the game earlier?"
Vegeta sat up to face Goku.
"There's a thing growing inside me and I don't know how to feel about it, the thought of you getting to carry on training not having to worry about any extra weight, the sickness the lethargy!"
"That thing is our child" goku held Vegeta's hand "you are not alone in all this"
"Stop calling it that kakarot! I don't think I want to keep it!"
Just then the bedroom door creaked open slightly, causing them both to face the door. Trunks gasped realising that he's been spotted.
"How much of that did you hear boy?!" Vegeta snapped
"Um...are you...pregnant?!" Trunks opened the door wider and stepped forward.
"Well we didn't really want you to find out right now, but yeah your dad is pregnant" goku smiled then felt a whack across his head.
"You idiot! I didn't want him knowing!" Vegeta glared
"Dad! I think it's awesome! I'll have to tell Goten!" Trunks smiled in excitement
"Who said I'm keeping it?!"
"Vegeta!" Goku snapped "I know that's your nerves talking and you don't really mean that!"
Trunks looked at them both puzzled.
"Trunks, go back to your room, your father and I are needing a private talk. Don't say anything to Goten yet okay" goku smiled as Trunks nodded and left the room.
"I'm not carrying on with this discussion!" Vegeta slumped himself back into bed.
"No, we need to talk about this" goku lay next to vegeta rubbing his arm. Vegeta continued to ignore him with his back facing him.
"I love you" goku whispered into his mates ear.
"I love you too idiot" vegeta grinned and turned to face Goku. "But you have to respect my feelings and not put pressure on me! And dammit stop telling people!"
Goku smiled and kissed Vegeta's forehead. Both of them cuddled into each other.

Trunks tip toed into his room trying to not wake his sleeping friend, he was very confused yet excited about his fathers news. He wanted to tell Goten but didn't want to break his promise, he climbed into his bed and started to slowly fall asleep till a thought startled him "wait...how did dad get pregnant and where would the baby come out?!" This made him feel uneasy, he kept his eyes open in fear he may have nightmares about this.
