Stevie huddled the fluffy dressing gown around herself, she felt cold and shaky as she walked up the corridor and looked out at the sun. It hurt her eyes a bit but it was nice seeing some colours. Rehab had been lonely, dull and hard for her, but the staff were very good and mingling with some of the others wasn't that bad. The first few days had been awful and she vaguely remembered them. One of the staff had said how it was extra hard quitting while pregnant because she couldn't take the stronger medications for the symptoms but she was managing, she even had seen a scan of her little baby and already fallen in love with it, the tiny little human was already so visible to her but it also still made her cry because of her little Sara, but she felt reassured about her decision, it was the extra strength she needed to carry on.
"I bet the rumours are true, its just weird but Fleetwood Mac!" she heard a woman mutter to another one and pulled her dressing gown around herself more, worried they were talking about her and might say something to her. She had tried her best to look different, she wasn't wearing make up and had her hair in plaits, she hoped she looked dull enough to not be paid attention to and the name she had used was Sara Anderson, because of her little Sara and because Anderson was now Robin's last name and she classified her as her sister anyway.
"I know, but that keyboardist was supposedly doing some other guy, bet she felt bad for cheating on her poor husband, he's really cute!" Another giggled and Stevie walked closer, realising they were talking about Christine. She missed Christine, she was allowed visits in the next few days and could call people but hadn't yet, she was still hurt about Mick and Christine's hook up and she knew Christine's opinion on rehab.
"She was rushed to hospital in the early morning hours, they say it was suicide and she tried to slit her wrist!" The dark haired woman whispered loudly.
"Oh gosh, maybe she overdosed, I hear they love cocaine!"
Stevie felt her heart drop to her feet "Is she alive?" She asked loudly, not caring about blowing her cover now she knew Christine was clearly harming herself, she blamed herself already.
"Yeh, we think so, its all tight lipped at the moment, you look a lot like the leading lady!" the younger girl laughed and Stevie forced a smile, then darted off up the hallway, she had to find out about Christine's condition, she was her best friend.
After lots of exhausting talking to the staff, she finally got allowed to use the phone and called the hotel that the band had been staying it and asked firstly for John, but his room was empty, so she had no other choice but to ask for Mick's room because she didn't feel like a thousand questions from Lindsey.
"Hello?" Mick said and Stevie felt warmth and comfort just hearing his voice again.
"Mick, I heard gossip about Chris!" She said quickly.
"Stevie!" Mick exclaimed "Do you know how good it is to hear your voice, oh Jeez I have missed you! I'm so sorry, I found out about the baby, our baby and I know you are in rehab, please let me see you, I want to be there for you!" He quickly blurted out and Stevie gulped wanting to cry and just be held by him.
"How do you know?" She asked softly, twirling the phone cord around her finger.
"Christine slipped up when she was drunk last night, she's having a mental breakdown, she feels awful now she knows about us, John found her, she tried to slit her wrist and has collapsed, she only got taken to the hospital two hours ago, John is there with her, I came back to gather some things for them!" Mick explained and scratched the back of his neck, blaming himself for everything.
"Is she going to live, she did this over me!" Stevie stammered and started crying.
"She is worried she is pregnant Stevie, she could have done it for that reason!" Mick sighed heavily,
"Poor Chris, she didn't even know about us, come and collect me, I need to see her, help me get out of here, I'm at Betty Ford, checked in as Sara Anderson, I need to be there for Chris!" Stevie stated firmly.
Mick was relieved to know where Stevie was now and how he could get to her "I'm coming there right now!" He exclaimed and hung up the phone. He was finally going to see her again.
