John sat beside Christine who had started doing some type of breathing exercises which worried him more, he suspected she was in pain, she had done that kind of thing before when she had bad period cramps "Babe, talk to me!" John soothed, gently wrapping his hand around hers and giving a gentle squeeze.

"I am having some cramps and I am worried John, the test looked like it was coming back with a faint positive and I have been trying to come to terms all day with being up the duff and the thought of carrying a kid in me, but now the poor little thing could be dying in me and I never wanted that, if I was knocked up, I was going to look after my body and then raise the baby, I never wanted it, but I accepted it and sure as hell was gonna love it!" She stammered on the verge of crying.

"Hon, just relax, it might be ok still, let me get an ambulance, Stevie and Mick will understand!" John soothed, tracing random patterns on her hand now to soothe her.

"I know its not!" She snapped then sighed at her little outburst "Sorry!" She muttered under her breath.

"Its alright, how about I drive you to the doctor, then you can actually know what's going on, we can say we are going to get takeaways for dinner so everyone can relax!" John smiled.

Christine shrugged, still feeling some twinging cramps making themselves present in her lower stomach and she felt some nausea now too "Stevie just got out of rehab, we cannot take off, she needs us, I will take some paracetamol and be alright!" Christine stated and got up, feeling a little dizzy, John noticed and quickly stood up to steady her.

"That's it, I am driving you to the doctors!" He said sternly, rubbing her side as he wrapped his arm around her protectively.

"No, Stevie just got home!" Christine stated.

"Do you think if you collapse or double over in pain that, that will be better for her instead of me sneaking you off to the hospital or doctors?" John chastised.

Christine exhaled and closed her eyes, knowing he was right "Fine!" She gave in and he felt relieved as he started leading her off.

"I will just say we are going to get some takeaways, what should we offer to get?"

"I don't know, I feel sick!" Christine frowned.

"It will be ok babe, the doctor will help!" John soothed, rubbing her lower back.

Christine wanted to snap at John as thoughts rushed through her mind, I wished the baby away, I am having a miscarriage, the doctor cant do shit John, shut up and leave me alone John but his hand on her soothed her too and she felt so grateful to have him, he was still being supportive of her, even if she was carrying Mick's child.

"Just sit there and I might even corner Mick and tell him what's going on, so he can keep Stevie calm!" John smiled and sat Christine back in a chair as she nodded.

She felt so worried and nauseous by all of it, she had tried to get used to the idea of being pregnant, even if the baby was Mick's.  Of course the whole ordeal was not the best but she knew they would all make it work if they had to for the baby.  Now she may be the loosing the baby she got used to the idea of trying to accept.  It stung her and she blamed herself in that instance, she couldn't help the tears that started cascading down her cheeks, as she gently rested her hand on her stomach "I'm sorry!" She whispered feeling like she had to in case there had been a baby.

John rushed through the house and heard Stevie's unmistakeable giggle coming from upstairs, then he saw Mick coming down the staircase "Hey!" Mick grinned.

"How is she?" John asked.

"Very happy!" Mick grinned nodding "I am just getting her a glass of water!" He smiled, hurrying down the stairs "She is looking at some of my plans for the nursery, I did feeble weird drawings of how we can set it up and she finds it hilarious!" Mick chuckled, then noticed John's expression "Is everything alright?"

"Chris isn't well, I am taking her to the doc, but her and I are going to claim we went to get food, so what take out would you and Stevie like?" John replied.

"Is Chris okay?" Mick asked worriedly.

"She had some slight cramping, she doesn't know if she is just getting her period, pregnant or miscarrying, so I need to take her to get checked, it will be alright though, focus on Steph and I will focus on Chris" John smiled, hoping she would be alright.

"Alright but I will be worried until I know Chris is gonna be ok !" Mick stated.

"I am sure she will be, its probably just her time of the month!" John chuckled.

"Lets hope it is just that, I'd hate myself if she has to suffer through a miscarriage!" Mick sighed.

"Don't stress, just focus on keeping Stevie happy and distracted, she just came out of rehab, so what food would she like, Chris and I will still pick up food whilst we are out!"

"Fuck, well something that's good for a pregnant woman, I don't know what to get her, maybe a roast chicken?" Mick shrugged.

John chuckled and shook his head.

"I don't mean Christine as the chicken!" Mick chuckled back.

"Poor Chris still gets chicken jokes, I bet she wants to abuse Chicken Shack at times for the name they chose!" John laughed.

"I bet she does!" Mick laughed back.

"Mick!" they suddenly heard Stevie call out "You better not be having a shot of whiskey down there!" he called louder.

"Fuck!" Mick chuckled, shaking his head "Coming babe, John and Chris are gonna go food, anything you want to eat?" He asked loudly,

"Anything, please, I have not had take out for too long!" Stevie called out loudly back.

"Hear the lazy, decide on the moment, I have to skedaddle back up to her!" Mick winked, hastily getting and a filling a glass with water before taking off like a rocket to upstairs.

John made his way back out to Christine helped her into the car "I am sure it will be ok!" He soothed as her started the engine.

"Yeh!" She nodded, I'm pregnant, I'm miscarrying or I am dumb She thought silently as she rubbed her stomach.
