Mick stood in the hallway holding back his own tears, he felt like he had just ruined his relationship with Stevie, he hated himself, more than ever before. He loved her so much and Christine was just his friend, one minute they had been doing cocaine together, then Christine fell and he caught her, then they snogged and the rest was obvious.
He wished he had more courage all along when dealing with Stevie, instead of joking around, he should have come forward and said he loved her instead of just fooling around with her. He didn't want to leave Stevie or even Christine who he was worried he had hurt, so he decided to try and get back in but the door was locked "Steph!" He sighed heavily, knocking on it again.
He listened and knew she was there, he heard heavy breathing and sniffling. She was leant against the door after hastily locking it and letting all the emotions pour over her as she clutched her thin stomach, thinking of the tiny baby inside, the baby her and Mick had made, it seemed so surreal and so terrible. She had always wanted children but she felt like a foolish little girl, another unplanned pregnancy and now she had to deal with it, deal with also the backlash and the heartbreak of miscarrying it or it having any health problems because of her drug use.
She loved Mick though and that was what hurt, she loved him and wanted a chance at a relationship but she felt she was only dreaming now, her little illusion of having a future and family with him was shattered into a million pieces. He could never be tamed, he was a party animal, still wild and free and she was going to have settle down and raise their child alone with no one. Christine and him had just be having sex, he was clearly just into anyone and she had been his flavour of the week.
"Stevie, please, I want to tell you I love you, Chris and I didn't plan this, I wanted you but..."
"Fuck off!" She yelled "Get away or I will call security Mick, I don't want to hear your pathetic excuses, you shouldn't have used Christine!" She stammered, making out that was the reason for her anger, not that he had broke her already broken heart.
"Stevie!" He begged in clear desperation.
"No Mick!" She yelled and walked away, slamming the door to the bedroom and watching Christine jump slightly, still laying there.
"Carrying on like this isn't necessary, its only me love, Mick and I knew, I mean, known, eachother forever!" Christine chuckled drunkenly, muddling her words as she clutched the blanket.
Stevie was angry but not at Christine, only at Mick. She wanted to be angry at Christine, seeing the man she was in love with, just had himself inside of her, but Christine had no idea about the secret love affair that had been going on between Stevie and Mick "Its not your problem, why did he fuck you anyway?"
"I don't know, he was just missing someone, saying he loved them but couldn't tell them, a good friend he said, someone he didn't want to ruin the friendship with and I honestly thought it was me, so we got drunk, high, I fell and he caught me, then we fucked!" Christine explained almost incoherent.
"Do you just fuck everyone, first Curry, now Mick!" Stevie yelled and then felt bad as Christine looked at her with hurt pooling in her darkened blue eyes that were heavily dilating from the cocaine and alcohol.
"I, I, I didn't know you viewed me that way Stevie, I'm sorry, truly sorry you see me like that!" Christine stammered, her voice shaky as she sat up wincing, holding the blanket around herself and feeling even more upset because of the drugs and alcohol "I will go, you were the only female friend I had left and the most important to me, I even fucked us up, I'm a stupid fucking drunk!" Christine's voice cracked as she stood up unsteadily and tears starting running down her cheeks.
"Chris, I'm sorry!" Stevie exclaimed, standing up "I'm just angry with Mick, my words weren't mean at you, I'm sorry!"
"I'm going, I'm sorry, its true!" She gulped, starting to stumble away but she fell before Stevie could say or do anything and grunted and whimpered loudly as she broke the fall with her hands and yelped.
"Chris!" Stevie yelled, panicked, she hadn't even meant to lash out at Christine and now she felt terrible "Chrissy!" Stevie cooed, bending down to the older woman who was swearing and passing out. She couldn't try lifting her because she was worried it would hurt her unborn baby.
