5. Happy Birthday

Dave was panicking, a lot. It was almost 12 am and Jack was going to come to work soon.

It is Jack's birthday today. Dave is holding the gift wrapped up safely in some present wrapping.

Jack is his best friend, also Dave loves him, he has to do something to make his Tangerine happy!

It was 11:58 right now.

Peter, Steven and Dee were the only ones in the Freddy's.

Dave tried to enter, but the door was locked. So he budged at it and shouted "Let me in! LET ME INNNNNNN!!!"

Then, the door unlocks and Dave sees Steven. His head is a phone, but he looks angry. "Dave, don't break the door down! Golly Gee! Wait, what is that?"

"I must hide this somewhere so Old Sport doesn't find it!" Dave exclaimed, pushing Steven inside and slamming the door behind him.

"Well, uh..."

11:59.

"Hurry!!! I need to hide this somewhere right now! Oh, yes! I know where! Dee!!!" Dave called, panicking.

"What do you want, aubergine man?" Dee asked, with her music box opened.

"Could you keep this in your box so Old Sport doesn't find it? Please, sis?" Dave begged.

"Oh, so you remembered his birthday, didn't you?" Dee smiled.

"Well, of course! How could I forget my Tangerine's to my Aubergine's birthday?" Dave joked, handing puppet the gift.

"Okay, okay... I'll keep this in my box..." Dee placed the gift in her music box.

12:00.

Jack, all fresh and cool entered the Freddy's. "Oh, hey, Dee!" Jack greeted.

"Hi, big bro!" Dee waved.

"Dave, you aren't in the saferoom?" Jack tilted his head in confusion.

"Uh... No? I came a little later than usual, because I had to refill the gas in my car." Dave excused himself.

"Ah, ok, understandable. Let's go put on the suits, then!" Jack then walked off to the saferoom with his eggplant friend.

The whole day, they were entertaining kids, throwing pizzas on the roof, smashing Mysterious Giant Scuttlers, bullying Matt for his virginity, kicking balloon boy, playing arcade games, petting doggos, looking throught Peter's and Steven's secret stash and much more.

But even through all, Jack could see that with every minute passing by, Dave looked more and more nervous.

"Dave, are you alright?" he asked.

"Y-Yeah, Sportsy, I'm finer than a fine eggplant!" Dave responded.

Dave isn't usually this nervous...

Jack decided to let it slide for now. If something is bugging Dave, he would tell him soon enough.

When it was 5:50, they decided that it was the right time to get out of the springlock suits.

Ok, Dave was more nervous than Jack has ever seen him.

"Dude, really, I think something is troubling you... You know you can tell me, right?" Jack said, with a little more concern in his voice than before.

"N-No, Sportsy! Nothing is troubling me!" Dave stuttered.

Then, Dee opened the saferoom door. "Dave, come with me for a sec."

Dave walked out of the room to Dee, holding his gift. "Thanks, sis..." he said, taking it.

"We are waiting for both of you in the dining area, see you there!" Dee whispered to him and then floated off.

Dave then reentered the safe room, to see Jack, with one eyebrow raised. "What were you talking about with Dee?"

"Um, nothing?" Dave awkwardly stood by the door.

"Wait, what do you have behind your back?"

"Um..."

"Dave!"

Dave sighed and reached his hands out behind his back to give the shorter man the present. "Happy Birthday, Jack." after that, he felt some sort of relief.

Jack gasped and took the gift. "You actually remembered?"

"Of course, duh! You think I'm that stupid?"

"So that's why you were nervous all day!" Jack laughed.

Dave waited for him to see what he gave Jack.

The orange man tore off the wrapping and saw that it was a purple sweatshirt with dark purple patterns, which looked cool.

Jack turned around and removed his work button up, then put on the sweatshirt.

Dave blushed. "Sportsy, you look really good in it" he complemented.

Jack cutely covered his smile with the sleeves of the sweatshirt. "Dave, I love it! It's so comfortable!" he hugged the taller man.

Dave smiled and hugged him back, regretting worrying and panicking so much throught the day.

"Sportsy, Dee said that they are waiting for us in the dining area, maybe we should go?"

"Ok, let's go, Davey." Jack accidentaly called Dave Davey.

Whatever, there was no time to be awkward, they have to go to the dining area.

Once Jack and Dave showed up, they heard "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" cheer from Dee, Peter and Steven.

There was cake on the table and also gifts.

Dee gave Jack new gloves and a cute scarf, so he isn't cold during winter and doesn't get sick again. Steven gave him cash, and Peter gave him a raise.

They had a really nice time, and when it was 8pm, everyone hugged then Peter closed up the pizzeria, when Dave and Jack left.

"I had a really nice time, Dave. Thanks again for the gift" Jack hugged Dave goodbye.

"You're welcome, Sportsy. Goodbye, see you tommorow." Dave said after pulling away.

They got into their cars and drove home.
