I was surprised when we pulled up to Billies house, it definitely wasn't the house I was expecting it was small and homey unlike the big extravagant million dollar mansion I was expecting as soon as I walked in the house I was greeted by her dog pepper, she didn't seem to like me much but she also didn't seem to mind me either.

"This is the crib." Billie told me as we walked into the house her hands raising slightly gesturing over the many things scattered around I chuckled following close behind her taking glances at the family pictures displayed around the house.

"Mom, dad and Finneas are all out so we're here alone I guess." She told me I nodded entering into the bedroom she guiding me into a glow of red illuminating the small cluttered room her walls were covered in posters and other art while there was a rack full with every shoe you could imagine, she had many random things and designer items I had never been wealthy enough just to look at.

"Welcome to my safe haven." She smiled plopping down onto the bed with a huff the headboard catching my eye in familiarity over seeing it many times during FaceTime calls.

Her icy colored eyes watched me look over her small room fiddling her fingers out of nervousness "You have a lot of shoes." I blurted without thinking earning a laugh in response.

My cheeks heated up in embarrassment smiling shyly "I know, I'm kinda obsessed with shoes." She told me I giggled nodding my head "Yeah I can tell."

I felt her eyes search over me a blank like stare on her face catching glimpse of her tongue swiping across her bottom lip, I wish I could know what she wast thinking her blank expressions were hard to read and easy to make me feel self conscious despite her not saying any words at all.

"Do you always wear your hair like that?" "It's cute." She asked instantly causing me to bring my hand up towards my hair that was tied up messily in a bun my blonde naturally curly locks sticking out in every which direction some pieces framing my face.

"I.. um.. I- yeah I put it up because I didn't want to look like a whole crackhead." I told her smiling at the soft laugh that passed her lips.

"Come here." She ordered teaching her hands out to bring me close my eyebrows furrowing in confusion as she reaches up for my hair untying the hair band keeping it all together letting my hair tumbling in curls "wow, you have a lot of hair." She chuckled running her fingers through the tighter curls.

"I've got doo doo hair, look at this shit it's a mess." She scuffed I rolled my eyes playfully enjoying the relaxing feeling of her messing with the blonde strands, I suddenly felt nervous with her gaze on me she was really close, close enough for me to feel her soft breaths hit my face.

Her button nose is the cutest and the little freckles lined along it with some painted across her cheeks, they were nothing like mine I felt as if I had millions I hated them but she somehow made everything look beautiful without even trying.

My stomach turned as she sat up on her knees to pull my hair up her body now practically hovering over mine her lips now just inches away from my face, I had never had anyone this close to me before.

After finishing with the hair tie she leaned back down her eyes searching over my face, I hope she didn't notice the obvious blush flushing my cheeks.

I wonder if she felt the slight tension between us, it wasn't uncomfortable but it was something I couldn't explain, she was better at hiding what she felt more than I did my emotions and facial expressions practically screamed what I felt.

She could sense it I knew it now by the way she messed with me like she enjoyed my reactions, the silence between us was comfortable it was like we didn't have much to say we had talked so much over the phone and now it was just comfortable I could sit in silence with her for hours.
